Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Our tankdivisions are now rolling. We expect heavy bombardment from air and maybe also from sea, but we also expect, that we should be able to break through.
An australian invasionarmy has landed on our northcoast. Our defenders are doing all they can to block the roads, preventing their fast units to go south to quickly. Reinforcements are comming up."
"Hold your positions boys. Further units will be ready soon."
First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.
The battle of Neapolis is over!! Despite a massive garrison protecting the city, it fell with few casualties, after the largest bombardment campaign in history. Strangely, however, Neapolis was not protected by city walls!! "This could be easier than we thought", thought General Lung.
In further headaches for Maximus of the Romans, another Australian invasion force landed in the south, forming a classic pincer movement. However, Rome seems to have again been prepared for this assault, with a number of units approaching the vicinity, although it is hardly likely to be enough to resist the might of the Australian Army The fact that whole divisions of Roman tanks are approaching Naringalingalai would indicate that the Roman army might be somewhat light on for defence in it's homeland
Don Bradman II is confident of resisting the Roman invasion in the west, with Brigadier General Mobius brought out of retirement to lead the defences. The main cause for concern is the apparent lack of involvement by the Germans in this war, which has become primarily Australia versus Rome! Then again, it is not expected that Germany will be required to destroy Rome, as the Australian Army seems capable of doing the job on their own
All but two australian units from their invasionforce were destroyed and Neapolis is again under Roman jurisdiction.
We might not have been totally prepared for a double invasion, but the australian forces should not feel safe - even if they conquer the roman capitol. The government has been moved and is ready to rule from another roman city without further notice.
Meanwhile our taskforce in the western Australia is doing as ordered. No head-under-arm attack on fortified cities.
I am sorry, that the only present for our scientists, who had done a great job in the past - is now heavy manual work. But that is what the nation demands these days. Maybe later, they can go back to their universities.

A medium size australian city surrendered to the roman tank division.
Our soldiers took a look around the city. Disgusting!
The australians held slaves in the city, they lived in dirty overcrowed rooms and worked for half rations in deep unsafe mines.
The commander ordered the slaves free immidiately and gave them all the medical care, that we could spend. Secondly, he ordered the factory destoyed.
Back home 2 more australian invasionforces landed. The first near Neapolis was immidiately destroyed with only small looses to the romans.
The second landed in a nearly unpolulated part of the roman nation. The defenders and the citizens burned their houses and improvements down themselfes, before it would fell into the brutal babarian australian hands. Now they sit fortified and wait for the facists.
Rome felt to the australians, so did another roman city. However this was expected and the most valueable machinery was removed from the cities - after that I decided, that those cities only should be light defended, no need to offer too many roman lives in a hopeless fight.
But reinforcements are comming down from the hills. We are now ready for a welcomeparty with the australian aggressors.
The australian propaganda has been rejected by the german people and a peacetreaty has been signed by the german government. Because of the cruel way, the australian wages war, the germans appearently has lost all respect for the australian leader and government.
Senator Maximus of Rome.

So it seems that the Germans have gone soft on the fight! Considering that the Australians were supporting Germany in their struggle with the Romans, it is strange that Australia is left holding the baby. That the peaceful citizens of Naringalingalai have suffered at the hands of the indiscriminate Romans makes the conquest of Rome considerably unfulfilling.
If Germany does not want this war, then neither does Australia, for there is no longer any point. As much as the fall of the Roman tyrant Maximus would be fulfilling, a long and drawn out war without purpose is not desirable for the Australian people. Despite the fact that Rome drew the Indians and Dutch into a war that ultimately cost them everything, the Australian people must come first. Therefore, Don Bradman II will consider the previously unthinkable, and consider negotiating terms for peace with Maximus of the Romans. Seeing as we have each other by the short and curlies to a certain extent, it would be in both our interests. However, if Maximus wants to continue along his path to destruction, the mighty Australian Armed Forces shall gladly abide . The razing to the ground of the Roman city was merely in order to repatriate the citizens away from the war zone and it's inherent dangers. No sane person will believe the ridiculous propaganda perpetuated throughout the world by the Roman tyrant
The Dutch made the only sensible dicision and accepted our benevolence, and now enjoys peace and tranquility alongside their Australian neighbours. If Maximus cares for his citizens, he will do the same, for the alternative is widespread destruction of all things Roman! Remember Maximus, that the city number happiness limit leaves me no choice but to reduce every Roman city in it's path to rubble, and i will not hesitate to do so. Negotiate for peace, and you shall find that the value of being on Don Bradman II's good side is much more pleasant than the alternative. You have been warned.....
Of all the things i had to do, i forgot to propose a peace treaty with Tweety Anyway, the Australian withdrawal has started, and hopefully a period of sustained peace may be uopn us General Lung, directing the southern invasion force, was greatly disappointed at the decision, citing the number of Roman cities that it could have captured in a short space of time, but accepts the decision of the wise and great Don Bradman II. However, the wisdom of the Roman leader should be rewarded with peace and prosperity for his peoples.
Now the time has come for the world to see Don Bradman II's benevolent side
Does not matter the first couple of turns. We have agreed to leave each others cities - and when we take control of our own cities again, the game-engine would accuse us of breaking af peace-treaty
So let us have a cease-fire until we have taken control of our own area, then peace.
