A wayward Japanese diplomat was expelled from Assyrian lands.

    • Oh Noble Chairman Swissy of the Assyrians,

We make a humble request of off you. Our diplomatic envoy would wish to travel east to the land of the rising sun. Should your government accept it, we'd rather they travel using your fine network of railways and roads so that they may reach their destination faster.

If you do not permit it no ill feeling will be felt toward you, and the poor members of the diplomatic commitee will have to take the route of the Siberian forrests to get to Nippon. Unfortunately, Germany is a poor nation and cannot afford to build as wide and efficient a network of railways and roads as your country, so their journey will be a harsh and slow one.

We hope you accept our request.

      Wolfgang Reichenbach,
      German Ambassador to Assyria.

      • Request granted, just stick to the road (unlike the wayward Japanese diplomat).

          • In a speech today, Saddamoto apoligezed to the Assyrian for the actions of a stupid Japanese diplomat. The Diplomat had just got back from a Keg-party and was heavily intoxicated. Apparently Assyrian authoritys apprhended the derelict for illegal exposure near a Assyrian Railway stop. We apoligize to swissy for all this.

The diplomat was suspended and had his priveledges revoked

                • "Looks like our Ambassador got a great concession from the Assyrian Chairman.", smiled Lord Thor as he tossed the letter onto his desk "From what we hear the Assyrians have a amazing network of Roads and Railways, our diplomat would have taken years to cross through the Siberian Forests."
"Indeed my Lord, we should thank Chairman Swissy for his generosity" replied the advisor as he reached out to glance at the letter himself.
"I agree. You know what the best form of flattery is Konrad?" he paused a moment for effect. "Imitation"

                        • "Will these machines work the way you say it will Mr. Mbotwanu?", spoke the German engineer as he gazed down from his cabin onto the massive open pit mine as it was being dug on the top of the plateau.
"Indeed they will. Once the main road is ready we can begin moving in the Earth movers. " , Mr.Mbotu pulled his woolen overcoat tighter around him. He wasn't used to the chilly European temperatures, and up here in the mountains the temperature was significantly below zero.

The Engineer noted that the Zulu technician was feeling cold, "Would you like more hot coffee?"
He got up to bring some when he saw the technician nod. "You heard about the LBDP? I was in Hannover yesterday and that was the talk of the town." said the Engineer as he poured the coffee.
"No, what is this LBDP? "
"Oh you haven'y heard? Our Lord Thor feels that tapping the Siberian forrests is the key to Germany's future. LBDP is his most ambitious project yet, it stands for the Lake Baikal Development Project. He is pouring in quite a lot of money to develop that region. "
"Isn't Lake Baikal on the Other end of Asia?"
"Yes it is. LBDP is just the name, but the project will cover the development of a large chunk of Siberia. "
"I would never go to work or live there. These mountains are cold enough, I'd die in Siberia."
The Engineer Laughed, " Yes, I know. Perhaps no one will want to go and live in such a cold place, but on the other hand, perhaps my King knows something we dont eh?".
                          The Zulu technician smiled.

"A fever has overcome the world for colonizing new lands! The Zulus made the beginning by steping into Australia, a large island in the south Pacific, rich and firtile mostly, unknown until recently. The Japanese followed their example colonizing for the first time another big island in the greater area, New Guinea. The Americans wishes the very best to the Japanese settlement, which will be (very) soon a reality!

The Americans are wondering whether the new goverment type, the so called as Communism was a trick for the construction of "Edison's Lab" and after its completion the rule will return to the hands of the clerics. The fact is that the new form of authority is very polluting!"

                            • It would be considered a step backward to return to domination of the Assyrian people by holy men. And consider that expansion would be curtailed under such a government. The Assyrians will remain under Chairman Swissy until a more advanced form of government can be found.
