  • Technical question for PBEM administrator

    Is it possible to replace a player by IA. In the case, for example, that player cannot play for along ?

    How do this ?

    I think what your asking is. can you attach an AI to a player, and then take the AI off? The answer is yes, but im not 100% sure that was what you are asking ? There are so many gramtical errors .

      x /attach and x /dettach if I remember correctly, not sure.
      The x is the player's play order number.
      You do it through the chat window (').

        Original post by Keygen;

        quote:

        If I recall correct to turn a human player to AI you type in the chat window the command: /attach followed by a space and the number that represents the play order of the player (e.g. /attach 2). This turns the second player to AI. To turn the AI back to human player I think you type: /dettach followed by space and the order number of the player.
        I strongly recommend not to ever turn a human player to AI. I have played in two games where a human player was turned temporary to AI and when he switched back he had several problems like disappearing units, etc

        My input is I am in a game that has frozen units after being AI so you were right Keygen there are several problems.

          In Monkey 2 (at my 1st visit as english) I also had a frosen unit.

          But when I took a better look at this units los, I could see, that the unit was NOT where it appeared to be. The unit was not frosen, I could simply not choose him, as he was on the tile next to the one I first though he occupied.

          When I tryed to move him from there (choosed an "empty" tile), then I suddenly was able to move him and he "acted" normally the next couple of turns (until Paul shot him).

              Bird is right. That is what exactly happens. The problem is that the player might not be able to see some untis at all! In a game I was playing I had to play the player's turn (St Jon) who had the problem as I could see his "lost" units, moved these units and next turn he could see them and move them normally. This is the main reason the older players, at list some, never turn a player temporary to AI but they next-turn him .
