Hello All!
I am now back and ready to take over my turns from BlackIce once more. Many thanks to BlackIce who has done a good job of leading my people while I've been gone.
Fraze, please now send the turn to me at ircoodge@yahoo.com Thanks! Looking forward to getting back into the game.
Krash!

I want to thank you Ian for the opportunity to play and hope that in fact I have left your nation in at least as good a shape as I found it.
Thanks all for your patience and good gaming.
Blackice

... and here in lies the problem with having "two" systems of turn notification. Some players look at their "CTP Eagles at War" e-mails only to see if there is a problem with the turn, and some players only look at the forum to see if there is a problem with the turn... and some don't look at either one and just wait until they get THEIR turn and then play it if they happen to look at their latest e-mail. And so there is no agreed to standard of where to post. So we end up with a stagnating game...
("Easy" yourself Birdman! No big deal really. Just trying to get this moving again. No offense.)

Well Birdman... first I hope your flu goes away soon, and you are feeling well again!
I would suggest dropping the e-mail notification to all players (it clogs up my inbox anyway ), and move to requiring (or at least strongly suggesting) that everyone posts to the "Eagles at War" thread after they send their turn. There are two reasons for this: 1) It provides a SINGLE place for all the players to congregate in the game; and 2) It starts the clock running on the next player. If the next player doesn't respond to the thread within 24 hours of the post, with either the "turn-to-next-player" post, or a reason for the delay, then that player becomes AUTOMATICALLY next-turned (with delinquency) with no questions asked.
I really can't believe it is that much trouble to check the threads once every two or three days, and post the turn-sent message once every two weeks. But maybe it is for some players.
Just my suggestions.
