The recent reports have been saying CTP2 will not be released with PBEM or Hotseat gaming mode. Just single player and multiplayer/online. The word is they can't get all the bugs out of the those two game modes. Perhaps a patch or add-on at some later date, but for now CTP1 is the only way to get your PBEM fix.
