You know, Quinns, English language is another thing I should learn. But I was angry when I wrote this, and one can easily see that!
    Apologies.

Alright Solver... I understand now, and misunderstood your intent earlier, though I'm still really not quite sure why you were angry in the first place. (And your English is one thousand times better than my Russian!)

I'm not sure if you've mentioned this before, but what I wanted to know is when a player is defeated in a game does every one beat him several times? or does the player responsible for taking him out beat him several times? You see what I am saying?

I mean, if your civ is invaded by mine in some game and I am responsible for taking you out of the game. Am I the one who gets all teh credit (rating bonuses) for defeating you, or does everyone get bonus points for one player having left?? This would make sense if you look at it from the point of view of "last one left standing" gets the most number of bonus points. But in a game my civ could take out 4 other players only for me to be taken out by 1 other civ and that civ ends up winning the game. just curious.

Thor, maybe the following will help, if not, post again. Regarding only one person taking credit for taking a player out, I don't believe that's fair. It could be that some other nation did all the work at eliminating a nation, but the last city falls to a nation that did nothing but take that last city. See below existing rule:

From the first thread of CTP Ratings:

          "
          Elimination Rule

If, in a rated game, a player:
          a) resigns;
          b) changes status from "rated" to "unrated";
          c) gets annihilated; or
          d) gets "next turned" for three turns in a row,

then every remaining player in that game "DEFEATS" THAT PLAYER THREE TIMES (as measured by the normal
          ten turn phase defeat).

For example, in a 5 player game, the first person who gets "eliminated from the ratings in that game" would be
"defeated" 12 times (as measured by the normal power graph 10 turn defeat), (3 multiplied by 4 remaining
players.) This equates to an average decrease in ratings of about 2 to 3 points for the eliminated player. The
second player eliminated would be defeated 9 times (3 multiplied by 3 remaining players), ... etc.

In the case of resignation or three consecutive "next turns", then that resigned player's civilization will be
"next turned" until a replacement player, (either rated or unrated), takes over that civilization's control."

Okay. .what about every single city is destroyed by me. I mean I single handedly wipe out your entire nation. Why should anyone else get credit for my hard work?

              Noone gets any credit Thor.
Only the defeated loses points. Noone else gets or lose points .

That's not true Keygen. Sorry to contradict you. According to what we agreed upon earlier, the eliminated player gets defeated 3 times by all the other remaining players. That includes increases to the survivors and major decreases to the eliminated one.

And Thor, your scenario is WAY to hard to prove. Think about it. How would you PROVE that you "single handedly" took out another nation? 234 screen shots?? Forget it. (By the way, Slamp put you down as being "rated" in Ducheese... is that true??)

Really, we need no proofs most of the time, we tend to trust people. Of course, noone prevents a King player from saying that he has beaten Deity and getting that 21 initial rating, but we trust. After all, Yeti didn't worry about saying that he has only ever beaten Warlord.
Quinns - why was I angry? How would you fill after having to reinstall Linux and receiving an Internet bill in one day?

Quinns, the PowerGraph for Do some PBEM? game is:
TheBirdMan (slightly ahead, enhacing his overall lead)
                    Aaginor
                    Paul
                    Solver
                    (Stavros)
                    Krash

Nice to see that BirdMan is so much ahead . Just kidding and killing everyone.

Sorry, I have made a mistake here. Stavros is unrated in Do some PBEM, previous post edited.

                        Solver,
That's interesting about the Power Graph for "Do some PBEM"... but why did you post it here? Is there a "turn" related to that post? Or was it just for my information? I would rather only see *9th turn posts of the Power Graph here as anything else, though interesting, is superfluous and confusing.

It was turn 49, so go and rate. Why is it interesting, actually?

Alright Solver... Here it is in plain talk. It was not really that interesting. I was being sarcastic about you being the only one who posted without the turn number. Everyone else posted the turn number with their Power Graph results. So I thought I would be a bit sarcastic to get my point across to include the "turn number" next time so that I don't have to research it myself.

Is that a little clearer? Sorry if it sounds harsh, Solver, but I know that English is your third language and I must be more direct in what I am saying.

PowerGraph sequence for R2-Islands, turn 29:
                              Kralj
                              Quinns
                              Aaginor
                              King Thor
                              Solver

What a pity - I was close to beating King Thor here, but no luck. I think we're about to see some interesting changes due to several turns pending.
Quinns, if you update it Apolyton time 23:00 tomorrow, I will send you the updated PBEM Charts on monday, and also alert MarkG for it, as 23:00 Apolyton time is 6:00 in the morning for me.
