Karl and Yeti's (KY) Youngblood Game

Hi all.

Startin' a new game here. Lookin' to be a rated game, (but if you wish not to be rated that's fine, but since you are putting in time, might as well be rated, right?). Anyway, I'll have specs for the game tommorow.
For info on ratings go to "21-Dec-Ratings" by quinns. He is also the point of contact to be put on the ratings board. Just tell him the highest AI level, (cheiftain, king, etc) you've defeated, and he'll do the rest

Basically I had a vision like this:
Regular map
4 new to PBEM players, (if more that's fine) Right now we've got Yeti and Karl.

3 cities of 3
2 settlers
5 warriors
5k gold
5k Public Works
Default advances
Lots of Barbarians

All you need is the latest patch. If you bought the game in the U.S., (not sure outside of U.S.)in the last few months, the patch is already on it.

I have yet to figure out the modifications to have more than one settler each? It just does not seem to want to work so until such time I would still like to play more.

This game would be in addition to the Keygen series, which is comin' up. I would hope that all those playing here will be playing in the Keygen series also.

Blackice: I've got a map, cities, units, set up. I've set them all up in "city friendly" valleys/rivers near each civ's "core" of 3 cities, with 5 settlers in the middle, and the warriors in the cities.

However, in order to set the map up, I see the whole map during this process, so that may create an unfair advantage for me. Therefore, the entire map will be visible to all, (with the fog of war of course if you don't have units/cities in that area).

BTW, to set settlers or anything else, from the starting screen select email game, you'll hit a screen where you select # of civ's, difficulty, etc,

then hit LAUNCH, you will be taken to a screen where you set the # of ai and human players, and all the human players need names and email addresses, (if your just playing around with it, type SOMETHING in the address field, cuz it wont let you go launch the game till it does.

You will also see a screen with a bunch of legal crap about not holding Activision responsible for stuff you did in the editor, just hit i agree.

Now you launched the game and you're in CHEAT mode. Here is where you can edit everything. Play around with it for a while to get the feel.

Once you're done editing, hit close and cheat mode will never be available again, and the game is in normal mode. Thus the game begins

I figure we'll start rating at round 5 or so, (bout a month) so that any bumps or admin issues can be ironed out then. For those who want to be rated.

I'll throw in 2 ai's with one city for the token ai presence.

So, I guess 1 more person and we can get this thing goin.

Thanks for that, I have actually got that far the problem for me is the save?
For some reason I can not get it to call up when i pick load scenario?
I am following the readme to a t yet it just does not show? :/

Hi all youngblood!

Well, Yeti there's no problem on using the youngblood word for your new game . If there is any question at all then refer to the Youngblood Recruitment Center. There will be some nice gyus to help you out .
