There seems to be a bad case of Motherboard fever going around. Mine packed up yesterday as well

I was so ****** off the I went out and bought a new comp. today....

Wow, my motherboard has gone belly up. The IDE controller won't detect my hard drives. Lucky I have a second computer. New motherboard with a speedier processor is on the way, I figure why waste a perfectly good set of drives and sticks of RAM.

We search the ruined city. And find nothing except a small, well preserved, library. Our scholars deciper the scrolls and determind there is great knowledge on how the people of this city maintained a system of governance with highly trained men who carried out the ruler's will and inturn brought the peoples' wishes to the soveriegn. Also, some of these men trained to contact other civillizations. But still no word of the Greeks. I order my wife's brother to study these so that he may go out and seek the Greeks.

As I have learned from other games:

Arthur is vanished (once again), and King Thor cannot access the net with windows. It seems that we need a temp sub to keep the game going ...

Agreed. The pace is totally unaceptable. I created this game with the rules as they stood, to have a high turnover rate. My premise was that it was highly unlikely that both players on a team would be unavailable at a given time. This has now ocurred.
Beyond this, there seems to be a general problem in turnaround, even when all players are present. Maybe we've just got the wrong mix of players together. Because of the team structure, it was impossible to align the players timezones, and still maintain a fair turn position.

Because we're so close to the start of the game, it might even be an idea to start again.

This has not turned out to be the game I intended it to be.

Opinions/Suggestions?

It wasn't a complaint about you specifically Thor, just about this game in general. As with most serious players who have been playing the game for more that a few weeks, I've had a gutfull of slow games....
The whole idea was that we could get a large player base (ie 8) and still have a fast turnaround.... My own fault, I still believe in the tooth fairy as well...

btw have you played Arthurs turn?

If you get subs, I would recommend a European sub for Arthur and a North American one for King Thor. For now I can play King Thor's turns to get the game going, just general seaching and building new cities, until a sub is found or Thor returns.

Please read my post. I'm back and will play my turn in the next few hours.

I want to point out that before this unfortunate mess up by my ISP I had not missed the 24 hour deadline and rarely (if ever) missed the 12 hour deadline on my own turn.

Also, I've been playing the past 3-4 turns of Arthur for him. It appears arthur has changed his email address. Please upadate the email address you send the game to.
