Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Demos, were you not paying attention _again_?? In order for player 1 to play first, it was necessary to complete turn 0 for each player. No units were moved, so turn 1 was identical to turn 0.
I think i found the optimum settings for CTP, and have used them in all of the Deathmatch games. Testing has shown these settings to give maximum rivers and production, every time. The whole idea of the Deathmatch series is to pit players against each other, not the game itself. I found CTP to consistently give harsh terrain, i coping with it a constant battle.
With these settings, all players start on a river with two settlers. This means more action, more units, and more DEATH!!! This has the added bonus of accelerating games to their conculsion. In Lung's Deathmatch1, we are about three turns away from a finish. That's from 4000BC with just the two settlers, to conquest and completion in less than five months!! That's why i started the Lungmatch tournament. We will finish a whole goddamned tournament before most of the original pbem games finish, after starting almost a year late!
Your game may at times seem slow, but once the first player is eliminated, the remaining two get through the turns _very_ quickly.
I'm glad to see that you all like your starting locations! And i didn't even use a scenario to do it .
I'll have to check from home, but off the top of my head, i used about 9/10 wet, 4/10 warm, 6/10 land, 10/10 diverse, 10/10 goods, restless tribes, emporer level. I forget the other settings, but that's at least close. I get lots of rivers with forests/jungle, and trade goods aplenty. It also tempts players to build trade routes during constant risk of invasion. Trade if you dare!!
Sorry guys, I've got a bit of a problem here. Family crisis, personal, don't want to go into any details, but I'll be away for at least two, maybe three days.
Really, sorry, but there's nothing I can do. Hope to be back by the weekend.
