Not much unexpected on the turn.

There is also another Keshik just south of Echo.

Suggestions:

Road the plains tiles south of Lima to connect it to Foxtrot.

Move the 4 Horse Archers to Foxtrot. They should be right around 4 strength or better after promo.
Move 1 archer into Lima to deal with happiness.
Move the wounded spear and axe onto the hill tile south of Lima.
2 healthy axes, move towards Foxtrot
Archer in Foxtrot, give city defender promo.
Archer 4 of foxtrot move onto axes 2 of Foxtrot
2 Horse archers in the area, move onto axes 2 of Foxtrot
Chariot in FS, move to Jungle Hill 4 of Foxtrot (denial to the Horde scout)
Spearman in Foxtrot, give combat 1 and move 2 onto hill.

This would leave us with 1 archer and 4 wounded horses in Foxtrot. The only unit capable of attacking would be a combat1/shock chariot.

The questions are, how to upgrade the units? (I think Combat II for the horse archers but perhaps 1 medic on the most wounded horse as well, maybe 1 medic on the wounded axe, and shock or combat II on the other, combat II on the wounded spear)

What to build in AB? (I favor a forge)

Do we pre-emptively strike the Horder Keshik next to our spear?

smart move, but could be seen as against our philosophy.

I"m personally leaning against it, barring some statement from the horde indicating they're going to attack us. (which they'ld be dumb to do) We MUST stick by our public philosophies of not attacking unless paid or provoked. But, there is some things we can claim as provocotive.

This leaves us with 2 options on the Great Engineer:

Machinery
Or try for the Hanging Gardens.

Everything else played as mentioned above. Did not preemptively strike the Horde as no one else was around to provide input and it didn't feel right arbitrarily doing that.

What was the final result of the battle against the eastern stack?

We lost the 2 horse archers, as expected.

The remaining troops all won, and we took out the medic archer.

Sarantium was left with 2 wounded spears, 2 archer, 1 chariot.
