  • Turn 102 - 350 BC

So, to my surprise, Sarantium has killed our unhired reconnaissance chariot to the south. Either they are confused, don't want us to see something to the south, or are now just bent on going to war with us...

AB dual-pops worker, and grows back to 4 immediately. Continues building library.

    Workboat continues journey.

Mine in Port Lima ready. Perhaps the worker can go help with AB cottages.

Worker on quarry moved to grass/river tile in FS. Begin irrigating.

Axe in FS ready, and forted. The new citizen in FS was auto-placed on the plains/farm at the end of the turn. Switch to quarry. Chariot placed in FS build. Should be ready next turn.

Worker moved from gem to wheat en route to build road on jungle tile 1 of wheat. Road on wheat ready next turn.

Spear in Foxtrot ready, and forted. Granary started. Though now I'm wondering if Foxtrot should be working on troops as well.

Settler and archer in position to found new city.

Horde units moved 3. They have accepted our cease fire, and we are now at peace with them. However, no payment for services rendered.

    Score:

    Power:

    Crop yield:

    Manufactured goods:

We need scouts in the jungle to the south.

    Something out of foxtrot.

Axe south of FS, I reccomend moving 4-1. He'll still be in a position to help the workers, and going towards fog removal of the only barb potential threat in the area after the new city is founded.

Archer in Foxtrot (unless there is a metal unit underneath) should move 2-2, heading towards the jungle hill in the south end of the jungle on spotter duty.

    Foxtrot...

What's the pop cost of that granary? If 1, pop. If not how many hammers are left? If we can 1 pop it in the next turn or 2 before switching to troops, lets do so. If not, switch to troops for now and we'll revisit the granary later.

The worker near FS is farming. After that, he could do a choppy-choppy 8 of foxtrot to speed the granary(or a forge) and a farm there to help foxtrot on growth.

Worker in AB needs to cottage the 2 grassland river tiles south of AB

Maybe they are just afraid that we are going to rent this unit to the Hordes.

Playing the turn. Just a couple issues holding us up:

If you have sent the Horde a message UnO, they are ignoring it, because we have still not received HBR from them. I suggest we halt the movement of their stack until they fulfill their end of the bargain. I can make an in-game request for HBR.

UnO, are you sure you don't mean 2 - 1 for the axe south of FS?

        Otherwise:

Workers south of FS move 1 to continue road. Worker at FS begins farm. Worker in AB begins cottags 1 of AB. Worker near Lima moves towards AB to help with cottages.

        Spear in Foxtrot moves 2 - 2.

Citizen in FS switch from plains/farm to quarry. Chariot ready next turn.

Workboat continues journey CCW around continent.

I have settled our newest city and am calling it Echo Cove until we find something better or agree on it. Since 4 tiles are jungle tiles, the unhealth is causing us to lose 2 food. What's strange is that even if I remove the citizen from working any tile at all (in order to get the extra hammer), meaning that we are theoretically losing 2 food every turn, the city still just says stagnant and isn't starving to death... I guess this is to prevent players from starving their cities in oblivion in order to disband them.

Echo Cove needs a build. Obelisk? 15 turns with a citizen producing 1 hammer. Our other options are 2 food from the jungle/sugar tile which doesn't help the city grow because we just offset the unhealth, or the coastal tile which gives us 1 food and 2 gold.

Also, the archer guarding Echo Cove needs a promo. First strike? City defense? Hills defense?

          Just something interesting:

There is an peak tile in the ocean and a passage to it for the workboat, which would be lovely to investigate.

This is a possibility. We'll see what they answer to our demands.

              NO OBELISK.

              We're creative.

Granary or archer. With my preference leaning to granary.

Actually, it needs to move south as much as possible. We got more line of sight from Echo cove than I expected so the workers are in no danger from the north from barbs.

                3-3ish maybe?

And somewhere to send the boat!

As for the archer promo, just leave it blank for now.

Yeah, I seem to have overlooked that little detail...

I will now send to the turn onwards. I will request HBR in-game from the Horde.

However, I do not have time to post all the screenshots tonight, so they will have to wait for tomorrow.
