  • Turn 100 - 400 BC

AB size 5. Library can probably be dual-popped next turn if desired. Workboat continues journey.

Settler moved en route to new city, archer precedes.

Archer from FS continues en route to Lima.

Foctrot plains/hill mine roaded. I suggest moving the worker to help complete gem mine.

Horde stack rases Anhinga. The city auto-rased, sparing us the debate about whether to rase or not. One chariot was lost. One chariot retreated after the attack, but was severely damaged, and moved into our borders. It will receive another promotion this turn. One axe lightly damaged.

Chariot south of Foxtrot continues south on reconnaisance mission. Sarantium stack moved 9.

    Horde units remaining in KT:

    Horde units outside of KT:

What's the happy situation in AB?

If capable, IIRC, the plan is to dual-pop a worker out of there, right?

Need the new city connected via roads asap, as well as some units in zone defense capable of reaching it in a hurry if needed.

And I'ld rather that scout chariot off to the west. 4-4-4ish of it's current locale. But 2-1-7 gets there just as quick.

Wierd movements from Sarantium/Horde in the south. Best guess is a Sarantine stack 8 of those horde archers, but that would be stupid of the horde to expose those archers in such a case.

Time to move the chariot playing stop a sarantine counter down scoutward bound in the south as well. The archer coupled with line of sight now do that job better.

Happiness in AB is 6 for 5 unhappy. AB grows to 6 next turn. There was some mention of popping another worker, yes.

Growing to six and working unimproved tiles nets us little gain.

Dual popping next turn would give us a worker, it would grow to 4, all tiles being worked would be improved ones.

Need to get a cottage or two up there.

(I've probably mentioned all this, I'm not trying to harp on it, but my mind is completely elsewhere these days between work and Halloween. My contract is up by month's end, then it will just be the normal Halloween madness.)

You're not harping. Dual-pop the worker it is.

How long till our two eastern cities' borders expand again and hinder Sarantium rebuilding Anhinga?

We have yet to build anything of cultural influence in Lima or Foxtrot. As such, 29 turns for Lima and 22 turns for Foxtrot, but that would still not cover the tile on which Anhinga's ruins stand.

You know, if we could just get Maths quickly enough, we could probably regular build the Hanging Gardens in FS - which would in turn generate more Great Engineer points.

Doesn't help with what to do with the coming GE, I know, just thought I'd put it out there.

Save is here. My taxi arrives in 20 minutes, so I won't be able to play. No orders from the Horde yet.

Did manage to have a quick peak at the save though. Many units now occupy KT with 2 Keshik ready to move in to help next turn. We can say goodbye to all those units in the south. Personally I'm in favor of revolting and pulling out. While we're at it, pillage their gold mine! Tired of Sarantium's bloody whining!

                          Alright. Calm down...

These are the times that are trying to be a Merc. Above all else, we must attack as ordered.

Think of it like this, though, it helps.

It's 4 lousy units. 3 of which we essentially planned to suicide to harrass the Horde in the first place.

So, we attack. We lose the units? That opens us to making peace with the Horde.

If we're at peace with the horde, there's plenty of arrangements we can make with them that would ensure that peace remained....and that the Horde remained...

Essentially, Sarantium would be pretty stupid to suicide our units for the sake of suiciding them. They are already out of the way, killing them does not weaken our home in any way, but opens the door for a very bad situation for them if all are lost.

We also need to decide if them keeping Khan's Throne (should it happen) would be equivalent to a violation of our border agreement.

I'm calm. Just like to vent sometimes. Do take note of the at the end of my little rant you quoted. Yes, we shall suicide the units and make peace with the Horde.

I am really hoping that Sarantium fail miserably in this attempt.

However, your mention of them taking KT in breach of our border agreement pleases the weasly side of me!

Sarantium stack suicides onto the walls of KT, dealing out a whopping 0.5 damage to 2 archers. I have requested a cease fire from the Horde.

                              Horde stack moved 9.

Settler moves through the jungle towards next city location.

                              Workboat continues journey.

Axe ready in FS. Next build?

Worker completes gem mine. Switched Foxtrot citizen from plains/forest/hill tile to work gem tile. Begin roading wheat tile, and should continue building road all the way to our new city on the coast from there.

AB begins worker, and should be able to dual-pop next turn.
