  • Turn 99 - 425 BC

AB grew to 5. We should send a worker up there to mine the plains hill once one becomes available.

Workboat continues journey CCW around continent.

New Archer in FS moved 6 en route to Lima. The archer needs a promo, and I would suggest First Strike I. Axe set in FS build queue.

Jaw begins mine near port Lima. Settler moves en route to new city location, proceeded by the archer southwest of FS.

Bolt set to road the plains hill in Foxtrot. Chariot guarding gems tile moved 3 to start scouting for possible attacks from the south.

    The Anhinga situation:

Stack moved 7 onto gold tile. 1 axe in the stack needs a promo. Seeing that we are going to be attacking Anhinga, I would go for City Raider I. 3 out of the 4 chariots need promos; Flanking seems appropriate. 1 spear also needs a promo: City Raider I considering that the other has Combat I.

    Khan's Throne situation:

    Sarantium stack moved 6.

I'm not sure what Sarantium has planned, but taking Khan's Throne seems very difficult without catapults, and we risk losing all our troops in such a foolish attempt. Would have been better to take out the Horde's stables.

Difficult, but not impossible. By the strength score, we can estimate the Sarantium army's numbers. And we know they were focussing on chariots.

With the flanking promo, chariots make a good pseudo-cat, having a good chance to withdraw after inflicting some damage.

COULD Khan's throne be taken? Yes. Admittedly with significant losses. But, if they are serious about taking it, we're in the cleanup role due to turn order. If they order our units to attack first, we know they are just trying to weaken us. And losing those 4 units would have the bright side of being able to negotiate peace with the Horde and get paid.

Settler moved en route to new city, archer precedes.

Archer from FS continues en route to Lima.

AB size 5. Library can probably be dual-popped next turn if desired.

Chariot south of Foxtrot continues south on reconnaisance mission.

Horde stack rases Anhinga. The city auto-rased, sparing us the debate about whether to rase or not. One chariot was lost. One chariot retreated after the attack, but was severely damaged, and moved into our borders. It will receive another promotion this turn. One axe lightly damaged.

            Sarantium stack moved 9.
