4 axe, 2 spear, 4 chariots to attack Sarantium.

Payment: Horsebackriding on acceptance, settler on completion.

Need: Construction of 2 spears (should be possible before required to deliver) and possibly an axe, emptying cities of defenders to get units in place on time.

    This one will be tough.

As I believe we are obligated to accept the Sarantium deal, we'ld be in a crunch to get the units together in time. I think it IS possible however. Poprushing the forge as planned in FS will put us at a min of 2 turn spears/axes. This gives us time to get the 2 spears out, 4 axes should be able to be scraped together with our current defenders, and the chariots are out on fog removal.

This does leave us COMPLETELY undefended for a few turns. But what are we defending from? Sarantium and the Horde are down south duking it out, and we're about to be blindsiding Sarantium in the North. Again, with 2 turn unit production, this is an extremely limited timeframe situation as well.

I recommed we ACCEPT BOTH CONTRACTS.

Then prepare to hear a ***** fest if the public forum is opened.

If you think we can pull it off, then yea, I'm totally for accepting both.

I want to hear the objection from whomever voted nay.

Is it the leaving ourselves defenseless, or contracting against both sides at the same time that is discouraging to you?

ie, would you accept a contract for fewer units against Sarantium?

I have no objection to leaving ourselves defenseless - though we'll of course have to keep producing even more units to rectify that and make up for possible losses - but I am worried about whether our cities can keep going, production wise, with ungarrisoned unhappiness taking effect. Have you looked into that?

From what I've seen the unhappiness seems to be about -1 for every 4 pop in any city without mil units inside. Even a -1 could hit some of our cities pretty hard, including FS.

What the heck. If we can pull it off, then let's give it a try, but unit delivery priority should go to Sarantium.

FS and foxtrot would be the only ones that really should get hit. We're popping Port Lima once it hits 4 anyway, down to 2, so it would be unhappy at size 3. I think we're looking at 2 turn police problem max. Possibly even none at all, I'ld have to get into the save after the forge to be sure.

                voted nay.

I fear for the Hordes marching our rented units back into our territory and destroy our cities.

That would be impossible via game mechanics. We are not GIFTING the units, we maintain controll, so they could not technically harm anything of ours.

ic. I have the impression that we are gifting units, since Civ 4 allows it.

In that case, i have no objection. Consider my vote as yea.

Where does the Horde want their units delivered? The stack will be together next turn (Turn 93)

The Sarantium border nearest their scout. Basically 6-9 of the ponies IIRC.

                            You mean 6-6?

Can certainly be done. We'll have to declare war on the same turn we move & relabel the stack.

Worst case scenario though: If they have their archer 3 of the ponies, which is basically our only access point, I think our units get bumped if we declare war while on top of it.
