Worker near AB moves 2 and begins road. Axe near AB moves 2.

FS worker begins to road gold. Axe west of AB fortifies on copper. Axe east of AB moves 2. Spear fortifies.

Axe ready in AB. Settler in queue. Remember to switch AB citizen back from plains/hill to pigs.

Do y'all think they are going to try and move the settler back in now to try and settle in a good, defendable spot now that we've been pushed back? Should we send a unit down to make sure they don't put him up on that hill 4 of the horse?

They'd have to send at least 1 more archer, otherwise it's their 1 archer vs. our axe and spear. Even if they built a city on a hill and got the archer in it, that would be risky with 2 of our units in the area posessing 4 and 5 strength.

I do believe Ozzy makes a good point. Perhaps we should move our units south.

I might have lost track, but I thought they had another archer that was guarding the settler.

In any event, an archer in a city on a hill is 6 strength plus a first strike.

2 first strikes with the drill promo. And yes, both units need to go south next turn. *unless something unexpected happens*

Opened the save. Here's the current situation:

Sarantium included the following message with the save:

              Barbarian Warrior Warning!!

There was a Barb Warrior that WAS (before EOT) at 2-2 from your Worker that is building the Road on the Gold. The Barb moved into the FOW at EOT. Could have moved closer to your Worker, but if anything, it's still in the Area. From what we could see, it moved either 7 or 4 or 1 from where it was at.before it had moved.

Hope it doesn't delay your Worker getting the 2nd Copper connected up....

Anyways, Hope Christmas was good for everyone over there.

New axe awaits orders in AB. Horde archer is alone on the plains hill to the south. No horde settler in sight yet, but surely will reappear to found city on said hill. Should we move the spear onto the jungle/hill occupied by Sarantium's warrior to have a look-see across the lake?

Ok, so since it's pretty quiet around here, I decided that moving the spear onto the jungle/hill couldn't hurt.

I've moved the axe just north of FS one step closer to FS, and switched the citizen in AB from the hill to pigs.

Still would like to know what to do with the other 3 axes. Also, it would be nice if Sarantium could tell us if they see the Horde's settler anywhere in the vicinity.

Am thinking that it would be a good idea to move the axe west of FS 2, in case the barb warrior shows up. Will wait a while for signs of life around here.

EDIT: Also, axe next to spear should perhaps move 2. If the archer decides to fortify we could attack with the spear and then the axe, most likely losing the spear. (Although I don't know how to script an AI unit to fortify in the WB, this scenario succeeded 17 times out of 20. 4 times out of 20 the spear killed the archer. Not sure what the numbers are with the archer having 5% extra defense bonus from 1 turn of fortification...) If the archer tries to slip by across the river (though I'm not sure what the Horde would stand to gain from such a move), the axe should be able to take care of him regardless of his promotions or the disadvantage of attacking across the river (66% chance according to test in WB).

Our 24 hour time limit is almost up. I'm going to go ahead and use my own judgement.

-Axe next to spear moved 2.
                      -Spear moved 2.
-Axe on copper uses new road and moves 3 - 1. No sign of barb.
                      -Both workers finish roads.
-Wasn't sure whether AB axe should make its way south as well, so I moved him onto pigs tile. If he is wanted for duty around AB then he can be moved back next turn.
