  • Turn 37 - 2560 BC

    The scout.

4 is a no-brainer for the first move, but then what? I'd say 4 again.

      UnO's settler chart.

So, Spearman 3 and Settler 6-3-2 so long as no new units show up by the border.

And I think that should be all that needs attention this turn.

If we are continuing west, then 4 - 4 looks good to me in order to open up a couple more tiles within the Horde's borders.

If Sarantium move their scout 3 - 2 onto that desert hill then they will see our settler moving south, but no biggy I guess. Not a reason to change strategy, just worth noting that they will know what is going on.

EDIT: I must need more sleep. Such a short post and I needed to edit it 3 times...

Maybe you should get a little more sleep, the settler will be 3 tiles away. They'll see it if it moves along the border, but along the hill won't reveal anything inside our borders, which the settler will stay in on this first move.

Good point though, there is a possibility they will spot it.

Actually, I had a question too, come to think of it... If the Horde were to attack Sarantium's warrior (which is unlikely) while our Scout is sitting on the same tile, what happens? Does the Horde declare war on both our civs and we act as a weaker defending unit?

Good question, I had assumed we simply stayed out of it and that it would act like a normal combat. But I haven't dealt with that before.

They will get a pop up asking if they want to declare war on us. If they check no, then they can just attack the Sarantium warrior and no harm comes to us.

Settler can also go 2-3, be a bit further inside the border, and still on target to meet the spear next turn.

Good point. Let's go with 2 - 3 for the settler.

                              Scout moved 4 - 4. Settler moved 2 - 3. Spear moved 2.
