Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
So, this turn:
-Spear moves 2
-Worker chops
-AB gets Axeman queued up as next build
Where to move the scout? Here's a wider shot that may help establish context.
I see us as basically having a choice in how we move around Horde territory: The scout goes west along their northern tip, or south along their eastern tip. But which one?
From the point of view of completeness and of seeing what lies between them and us, west is better. But going south may tell us more about how expansive (or not) their southern lands are, which might help us figure out how aggressively they may plan to settle north towards us and Sarantium.
I lean towards south (2-2 next turn) to find out how far down this continent goes.
I see the logic behind wanting to scout south of the Horde's lands, but if we lose the scout by leaving him sitting in the open, then we won't be able to scout out anything at all. I would rather take a few extra turns to back track and then go down the coast if we decide that knowledge of southern territorties is more important than unveiling the middle. Going through those plains just looks like certain death.
Otherwise, a quick peek from the forested hill on which the Sarantium warrior is fortified will open up alot, and provide us with protection from any barbs that might be lurking. *If* that is why Sarantium has fortified there. He might just be a lookout for possible units leaving Horde territory on their way north.
