      Category A!

If something unforeseen pops up in the course of the game, isn't it possible just to have the teams confer and decide how to proceed? I mean we can't cover every possible angle before starting anyway.

      Just waiting for that patch...

Fried-Psitalon has me convinced that this is a game-changing ability, that will ensure GP trading happens, and not just between team merc and others. GAs are very powerful, and trading in GPs allows specialization in their generation, making it much easier to attain multiple GPs; I think the anti-trading proponents are right in saying that this will be a must-pursue strategy. This seems very clear to me.

Now, the question becomes, do we want this in our game or not? I'm not sure yet myself.

I can see the viewpoint that F-P is arguing from. I have to say, though, that it would be a remarkable accomplishment to actually find two teams that trust one another enough to allow a rival to enter a GA with your help.

From simply a merc point of view, I think its in our best interests to encourage unrestricted GP trades, just because of the potential profit we could make. If we're voting on this now, I cast my vote against GP trade restrictions.

As I posted out there, his arguments actually have me convinced it should be allowed. I can't see leading teams finding partners to trade GP. 2 weaker teams, however, could use it as a means to remain in the game. I only see a balancing factor, not a runaway freight train.

Agreed. GP trading stays in the game.

GP trading issue is being blown way out of proportion IMO. If we're voting then I vote to keep it as well.
