  • Year 2040 BC arrived

    Year 2040 BC arrived a few minutes ago.

    Bronze working was researched, the screenshot shows the two

    bronze I see, close to our capital, but out of boarder.

    (Of course, to get the screen I had to "choose" civic and research;

    just to get the screen,is not a play).

    So, we must choose to go or not to go slavery and the next tech

    to research.

    Our research options are:

    hunting(5), masonry(7), polyteism(10), monarchy(29), fishing(5),

    pottery(8), writing(10), horseback riding(24), iron working(20).

    As you know Bananapolis has 2 pop and Spitville just 1;

    a warrior in capital shall be built in 2 turns.

    So,what's the goal? Where next city site? Research iron or horseback

    for better troops? Masonry to Spit'stone(but no worker there)?

    Perhaps pottery to grow and commerce(my opinion).

    Almost sure slavery shall be useful, not right now; but change now?

    These decisions are important and I do not want to take them by

    myself; so your imput is asked,please.

    Best regards,

      Wow! The longer AC waits to approve a deal the less relavant it is. AC asked for the following:

      Team Banana -
      meditation 114
      priesthood 85
      writing 171
      alphabet 429

      AC -
      fishing 57
      sailing 143
      iron working 286
      hunting 57
      masonry 114
      pottery 114

      If we assume for now that they want to sign this deal, we should study Writing. AC is currently working on Iron.

      I do not want to waste 10 turns studying Writing when we could be studying Iron Working. I am torn on what to do.

        I like the western city site that was discussed in the previous turn thread.

        When can we settle there?

        Name suggestions anyone? I suggest we name it in honor of our friends, something with Yang in it: Yangston, Yankuryang, Big Yang...

          About the west site timing:

          Finish the warrior, build a settler, more settler' travel time ~ 18 turns.

          About research and related trade:

          Are all posted techs traded in one moment or are they as they are

          researched? More precisely, did we get pottery right now? If yes,

          I see no harm research writing now, but can I have that for sure?

          If not, I say research pottery as we need granaries and cottages.

          Can you, please, answer me as I must not delay the turn?

          I'll play the turn within 1,5 hour.

          Best regards,

                Regarding the tech agreement. We do not have one yet but the idea was to gift techs to eachother as soon as they were discovered. I will see if AC ever plans on returning my email.

                  As I see it, we are in a unconfortable position research wise:

                  no archery, bronze working and bronze close but still out of acess,

                  so almost defenceless;

                  Very necessary to have these trades (or not) to make our minds

                  how better defend ourselves.

                  Best regards,

                    id say our top priority would be to trade techs with whomever possible! pretend to be in a position of strength let them know that we dont really need the trades so they think we could as well trade with someone else
