I created this email so that all diplomacy happens through a central email. I think this should reduce confusion for our world partners in the case that we switch diplomats on them. I believe AC has done this for us.

Even though all of Team Banana has access to this account, all communication through thediplomaticbanana@yahoo.com should be posted in the 'Poly forum in the appropriate diplo thread.

Once an email has been read by the assigned diplomat it should be moved to the appropriate folder, one has been created for each team in the game.

I suggest that all emails be signed as "The Diplomatic Banana" but sign it as you wish, just don't sign using another teammates 'Poly ID or name. That is not nice.

To help Team Banana keep track of who sent which communication please 'sign' the emails with your number given below, as I have done in this email. These numbers are by no means a ranking it's just the order given in the team members thread. I also suggest that these numbers not be used for any other purpose.

I created two more DipBan aacounts so we can now use Yahoo!, Google, and MSN IM services. I also sent out emails to GS and AC stating that. The emails were copied to thediplomaticbanana@yahoo.com.

I hope that 3 accounts is not too confusing but I really want to keep a layer between our 'Poly user ids and the diplomacy of this game.

hand" step by step to post that screens.

That's ok Fed. You do not need to use them. So far I think I am the only one to have logged into any of these. I post all communications in the the diplomancy threads.

I created these accounts because GatheringStorm and AlphaCenturians are both using Google Mail which means they have access to Google Talk. NotYouEither of GS offered to chat with me via MSN Messenger. Our original "thediplomaticbanana" is a Yahoo! account and uses it own instant messaging tool.

All of these tools are very similar to each other allowing instant communication which is great for hammering out diplomatic details. The problem is that these tools do not work with each other so we need an account with each service.

All you need to know is that these accounts are out there and that the Yahoo! account is this team's primary email account for interteam diplomacy.

Let me add a few points.

I believe these accounts are important to a diplomacy game because it gives other teams ONE place to send diplomatic emails. A team's diplomats change and multiple contacts can be very confusing, slow, and damage inter-team relationships.

This also prevents other teams from diplo shopping or pitting teammates against eachother. With use of "thediplomaticbanana", other teams will not be able to say, "But Daddy-O said..." or "Let us speak with Wise Ass he deals with us fairly..."

These accounts also provide a layer between us and them. Diplomacy can become very undiplomatic. Some people do not understand this is a game. Warring words between nations easily become fighting words between Apolyton users. I am not dealing with that again.
