Did the obvious things, here's the midturn.

I've miscalculated the horse resource, however, so we will lose one turn of lightning-guilds surprise.

Actually we should think about our entry plan to the Taz city since it will be rather complicated to get close to it without endangering ourselves too much and we need to get close to it asap.

I think we should enter in 2 stacks of 3 (2 chucks + 1 mace), which should be good enough to keep them from killing too many of our units.

At least 3 - those who ran from us + 1-4 in the city.
It could be pretty big or pretty small, but as long as we go in in stacks sized big enough to not succumb to numbers, we should be able to push through to the city and into it.
I think we should plot some perspective routes on the map.
I'll be available later for chat.

ok, info from the diplomacy screen :

          horde towards sarantium:
          +1 open borders
          +3 mutual millitary struggle
          +4 trade relations
-3 you declared war on us

          sarantium towards horde:
          +1 open borders
          +2 mutual millitary struggle

so, Sarantium declared war on Horde previously, now they are both fighting vs Mercs (or have been fighting vs Mercs recently)

          Screenshots :
          sarantium caravel + explorer

          eastern caravel + scout

          attack on GS situation (M = maceman, C = chuck, W = worker)
          no sig

            Ok, finished it up.

            Events:
            - we finished HG
            - we finished Guilds
            - we got another Great Merchant - we can now finish Banking in a single turn!
            - our score is no 1213 - twice as much as GS's (2nd place in score)

Just posting some old (1 week ago) chatlog here, because I remembered reading plans for next turn somewhere, but didn't find them here...

Especially the parts about stack movement and Great Persons.

I don't think it was even mentioned on the forums we got another Great Merchant.

              [23/04/2008 21:19:11] binTravkin : ok I finished it up
[23/04/2008 21:19:15] binTravkin : looks like we will be able to have two stacks move in coherently
              [23/04/2008 21:19:21] binTravkin : one stack of 3maces+2chuks
[23/04/2008 21:19:29] binTravkin : and other stack of our 4 veteran chucks
[23/04/2008 21:19:43] binTravkin : plus the third stakc of mace and chuck will land onthe same turn near elephants
[23/04/2008 21:19:51] binTravkin : so GS should get pretty nervous
[23/04/2008 21:20:08] Impaler[WrG] : excelent, then assault is planned for how many turns from now?
              [23/04/2008 21:20:24] binTravkin : 4
              [23/04/2008 21:20:37] binTravkin : 9 units
              [23/04/2008 21:20:52] Impaler[WrG] : more then enough I'd say
              [23/04/2008 21:20:57] binTravkin : yup
              [23/04/2008 21:20:59] binTravkin : should be
[23/04/2008 21:21:21] binTravkin : we also got another merchant
[23/04/2008 21:21:33] Impaler[WrG] : do you have a screen showing the pathing and is it along the two routes I was sugjesting?
[23/04/2008 21:21:35] binTravkin : so we will be able to get banking in a single turn
[23/04/2008 21:21:49] binTravkin : umm, no, but I will prepare one a bit later
[23/04/2008 21:21:54] binTravkin : running out of time right atm
              [23/04/2008 21:21:57] Impaler[WrG] : k
[23/04/2008 21:22:59] Impaler[WrG] : think we should send the workers back to our territory after the last two roads segments are built?
              [23/04/2008 21:23:23] Impaler[WrG] : maybe 2 stay and 2 return?
              [23/04/2008 21:24:06] binTravkin : 2 should go to make a mine ongems
[23/04/2008 21:24:12] binTravkin : we really need it
[23/04/2008 21:24:37] Impaler[WrG] : yes that sounds good but we will need to wait for culture to expand
              [23/04/2008 21:24:47] Impaler[WrG] : after we take Hun
[23/04/2008 21:25:08] binTravkin : no, gems are in
[23/04/2008 21:25:33] Impaler[WrG] : oh opps, its the clams and stone that we need to wait for
[23/04/2008 21:25:52] Impaler[WrG] : whats the plan for the explorer movment
[23/04/2008 21:26:12] Impaler[WrG] : when can we scout and can we do so without exposing him to much risk?
              [23/04/2008 21:26:16] binTravkin : use forests
[23/04/2008 21:26:42] Impaler[WrG] : explorer is 4 strength so that would be 6 strength base
              [23/04/2008 21:26:50] Impaler[WrG] : is it promoted with Forestry?
[23/04/2008 21:27:51] Impaler[WrG] : still we should be carfull we need that inteligence
[23/04/2008 21:28:12] binTravkin : it will be pretty safe in forest except for maces
              [23/04/2008 21:28:16] binTravkin : 8 strenght
              [23/04/2008 21:28:33] Impaler[WrG] : you mean elies
              [23/04/2008 21:28:46] binTravkin : err axes
              [23/04/2008 21:28:48] binTravkin : and ellies
              [23/04/2008 21:28:49] binTravkin : yes
[23/04/2008 21:28:58] Impaler[WrG] : still they might try something desperate
              [23/04/2008 21:29:09] Impaler[WrG] : do axes get bonus vs a recon unit??
              [23/04/2008 21:45:43] binTravkin : not sure
              [23/04/2008 21:45:50] binTravkin : I kinda thought they do
              [23/04/2008 21:45:55] binTravkin : I thought its melee
[23/04/2008 21:46:02] binTravkin : but since its in recon cathegory
              [23/04/2008 21:46:38] Impaler[WrG] : I'm not sure myself actual, just wondering
[23/04/2008 21:49:43] binTravkin : they won't be that desperate now since our armies are approaching
[23/04/2008 21:49:51] binTravkin : they cannot afford moving out of their city
[23/04/2008 22:12:06] binTravkin : the routes should be like - first stack (ccc in pjays screenie) moves S-S-SW-W
[23/04/2008 22:12:51] binTravkin : and everyone else comes in on where the first stack is now and then goes SW-SW-S
[23/04/2008 22:13:18] binTravkin : at the time those attack the city, the two guys in a boat will move in on elephant resource
              [23/04/2008 22:14:07] Impaler[WrG] : excelent
              [23/04/2008 22:14:51] |SafaN| : what is the W?
              [23/04/2008 22:14:59] binTravkin : city

              [23/04/2008 22:16:32] binTravkin : 2
              [23/04/2008 22:16:34] |SafaN| : duh
              [23/04/2008 22:16:53] binTravkin : read the legend
[23/04/2008 22:17:08] binTravkin : ok, Im off until morning
[23/04/2008 22:17:21] binTravkin : good news is we get anarchy next turn and knights the turn after
              [23/04/2008 22:17:34] |SafaN| : anarchy?
              [23/04/2008 22:17:40] |SafaN| : what did i miss?
              [23/04/2008 22:18:16] Impaler[WrG] : adopting merchantilism?
              [23/04/2008 22:18:38] |SafaN| : end of next turn then
              [23/04/2008 22:18:42] |SafaN| : okay
[23/04/2008 22:21:35] binTravkin : we got great merchant
[23/04/2008 22:21:49] binTravkin : which means we can do banking in a single turn and get to switch to mercantilism
[23/04/2008 22:22:13] binTravkin : btw this is our 3rd GM in a row
[23/04/2008 22:22:13] Impaler[WrG] : we arealy have one GM on hand right?
              [23/04/2008 22:22:26] Impaler[WrG] : so we now have 2?
[23/04/2008 22:22:28] binTravkin : that one used for Guilds
              [23/04/2008 22:22:42] binTravkin : as planned
[23/04/2008 22:23:02] binTravkin : we really should get something else next time
              [23/04/2008 22:23:06] Impaler[WrG] : so Banking Poped next
[23/04/2008 22:23:22] Impaler[WrG] : well we should run a scientist inBejing to up the chances
[23/04/2008 22:23:23] binTravkin : gms are good for now, but I think this was last tech we could use them on
[23/04/2008 22:23:42] Impaler[WrG] : HG will incresse engineer probability as well
[23/04/2008 22:24:08] binTravkin : ok, I'm off to sleep then - we should prepare a message for horde, perhaps propose some trade
              [23/04/2008 22:24:16] binTravkin : their 180gold sure look juicy
              [23/04/2008 22:24:37] |SafaN| : sell compass to them?

[23/04/2008 22:24:49] |SafaN| : on same turn as we trade with sarantium
[23/04/2008 22:24:51] binTravkin : I think we agreed Sarantium will be able to resell it
[23/04/2008 22:24:59] binTravkin : no big deal anyway
[23/04/2008 22:25:12] binTravkin : we can sell things like Meditation perhaps
[23/04/2008 22:25:21] binTravkin : oh, wait, they still don't have Alphabet
[23/04/2008 22:25:24] binTravkin : so perhaps that one
              [23/04/2008 22:25:30] Impaler[WrG] : yep sell sell sell!!
[23/04/2008 22:25:39] |SafaN| : we allowed to resell it, it doesn't mean that we can't sell it before them right?
[23/04/2008 22:25:57] binTravkin : yes, but we already did the exchange with Sarantium this turn
[23/04/2008 22:26:23] Impaler[WrG] : we can also sell to Merces once we meet them
