* the retreating chucks find a new GS city close to the mountain range!

Settler - planned to go to the very east of the continent and settle a city to quickly produce a caravel.
The spot it's going to settle has fish, cows and iron (IIRC) in fat cross.

I think our natural allies on the other continent would be the teams opposing mercs, since mercs are 2nd most powerful civ as of now (possibly shared with GS), most appealing - Horde.
