What i dont get is, why if its a DL they didnt bother with the least effort to get in. I mean, if its a member of the other teams that member is risking IP checks and getting banned if there is any scrutiny(unlikely unless we ask) I say reject him, lol look at his name\last name

Sorry for the out of the blue app!

Actually its 1/2 a mistake on my part. IIRC, I did join at the beginning of the dg under the name 'zufrix'. Of course I chose the smac team because I was a smac player.

Anyways unfortunately other things got in the way and I was never able to really participate. So finally the other day I decide to come by and check it out but I noticed I wasn't in the team (honestly i dont' remember now if I actually joined or just apped) so I apped again

So anyways, this is a new apolyton account so I haven't made any posts naturally. I'm not in the habit of registering for online things with real personal info hence sketchy personal info . For the record my name is Daniel and I live in Montreal. I study physics and computer science and do some work in scientific visualisation.

I'd ask him if he can use the old account (password retrieval isn't so hard and we can have admins assist if necessary). A two year maturation DL plant seems a bit far fetched to me but someone could simply have picked up this identity seeing that its a person who once tried to apply.

Greetings Nugog, I'm writing to extend an invitation on behalf of my team for you to formally join Team Alpha Centauri. You don't seem to have any hard feelings over what we did and recognize this is just a game, but its a fun game that thrives on active participation. At AC we have 7 regularly active members and engage in vigorous debates and strategy sessions via skype chartrooms, and our game-play is the better for it in addition to being more fun. Our government is very consensus driven, we have no formalized hierarchy, any joining members would be equals with out existing members and as influential as the participation and skills can take them. Were playing to win and I think we have a good chance to pull it off and the more the merrier I always say. Lastly theirs the still undecided refugee issue which puts applications to other teams in limbo, joining AC though is a safe bet as far as legality goes, and with the door open its the easiest path.

Feel free to share this message with other members of team Banana and if any are interested in joining we will consider them as well.

Firstly - there is definetly no hard feelings on my part, if the situations had been reversed I would have pushed Banana to do the same , and had I rejoined Banana earlier then who knows what would have happened. Frankly - we practically asked for it.

You played well - we did not - simple really.

At this stage I am not looking at joining any team in this game. This is purely because real life demands are rudely interupting my civ time.

This is not me saying no - just not at this stage.

As for other members of Team Banana - well Fed cannot open the saves for some reason (this was before 3.13) - and he needs to be able to see the game in-game, not from screenshots (vision issues) - so he is not joining another team. Daddy-O may be interested, don't know about Will or WiseAss. EPW - probably not - but I will ask.

These are the only active members of the team.

So from me - thank you - but I will not be making any decision until I actually have time to participate the way I prefer to.

The refugee issue does need to be resolved - and fairly IMO - though we may disagree as to what that means. I do however accept that not everyone will take elimination as well as Team Banana...........

flyboy21,Grendel42 are both prime suspects according to the ussual DL habits as observed on poly.

DLs used to cheat for an advantage cant last for long. It will become obvious when a team has information it cant possibly have or coordinates things it shouldnt know. IIRC one of the civ3 demogames had The Horde utilizing a DL, and they got busted.

Attempt to contact the suspected DLs and if nothing is forthcoming a purge would be appropriate (after all those guys have contributed almost nothing and are at least a year inactive). I personally doubt we are being spied on (well at least Bananas weren't spying on us). If they do exist purging now would be wise as contact time with the DLs Controllers will be most damaging.
