    I checked the turn, some sightings:

    Khan has got massive score jump (from 170's to 199) and it appears that Mercs score has jumped as well (from 240's to 260's), which might indicate there's Alphabet on the other continent.

    Also, Bananas have neither iron nor copper hooked up and doesn't seem they will anytime soon.

    I checked the Banana-GS trade screen and strangely didn't see Banana as 'can't trade Archery' with us..
    Usually that appears when Hunting has been traded, but it might be due to game being PBEM it doesn't update as often.

    Our work boat will be able to explore a little of that island to the West without delaying its movement towards the fish site.

      That's partly because I didn't update the foreign intelligence datalinks for 825 BC yet. Seems like I only put the changes for previous turn in the turn-thread.

      Horde got 176 in 850 BC (see foreign intelligence thread)
      they got +6 in 825 BC due to pop growth => 182 points.
      So, it seems they got + 17 this turn. That corresponds +/- exactly with the land score they should have received this turn. Nothing special here.

      Mercs had 242 in 850 BC
      they got +6 in 825 BC due to pop growth => 248
      So, they got 12 points this turn? Could be an era-2 tech.

      that's good I guess...

      You mean we can not send archery to banana ? That's strange. I'd think this means they already have archery, but that can not be the case as GS can not send hunting and archery in the same turn.

        might they have researched hunting and traded archery?

        this might be the reason that the trade was so late compared to when we gave alphabet

          The power graph spike for archery is much bigger than hunting. It should be possible to work it out from that.

            they just finished masonry last turn, so it's not likely.

            Anyway, I'll try my best to do score analysis this evening.

              They could have pre-researched Hunting before, but it's likely they don't have Archery and I messed it up

                end-turn info :

                * we are still not in cities top-5
                * we have a trade route with bananas; not with any other civ
                * resources from/to bananas
                --> bananas resources available for trade = horses, gems
                --> our resources available for trade = iron, copper, rice
                --> our cows cannot be traded
                --> so, I think banana has horses, gems and cows; but nothing else.

                * foreign intelligence :

                horde : +17 points due to +9 tiles from founding their second city 20 turns ago

                AC : +7 points due to sailing

                GS : +33 points due to :
                ---> meditation : +7 points
                ---> priesthood : +7 points
                ---> fishing : +6 points
                ---> animal husbandry : +7 points
                ---> population growth in second city (2 -> 3; whipping grow back), total pop = 5+3+3: +6 points

                Banana : +20 points due to :
                ---> mathematics : +13 points
                ---> hunting : +7 points

                Mercs : +19 points due to :
                ---> some era 2 tech : +13 points
                ---> population growth in fourth city (1 -> 2), total pop = 4+5+2+2 : +6 points

                so, certainly bananas don't have archery yet

                what is worrying though, is GS' gold production. They are at 42/turn, while we have 22/turn. Average is 20/turn.

                Still didn't do power graphs though

                  We must leverage our mfg. goods advantage and get up to their level both through conquest and settling.

                    ---> some era 2 tech : +13 points
                    I guess it must be either Alphabet or Mathematics

                    If it was CoL we'd see the 'founded in distant land' message, if it was IW, it should've been done much quicker (in < 10 turns), it was MC, it'd take much more.

                    If we see Sarantium/Merc/Horde scores jumping over the next few turns, we know it's Alphabet.
