Next turn we wil have to chose again. We have so far researched:

Wheel, Agriculture, Mining, Mysticism, Pottery, BW

    I see four choices:

    1. We start out with masonry so we can connect to the marble asap, and then we go for fishing and sailing.

    2. Before everything above we spend 8 turns in writing for a library.

    3. We do a long shot and spend 30 turns in Metal Casting (dont like this one)

    4. We backstab the banana and try to grab the oracle ourself ( i don't like this one either) we need masonry, meditation, and priesthood then.

I think Masonry looks good, getting the Marble City established soon and a Quarry to work so it can build up its defences (in the event of a war it would be the primary target as its closest to them and farthest from our capitol)

If poping the Hut gives us Masonry then I think the Oracle slingshot becomes much more likley to work and we should consider doing it. Priesthoods reserches fast and it would be all we needed.

we can start building a mine on the marble in 10 turns the earliest (6 turns for building the settler, 4 turns for walking there). It only takes 4 turns to research. This means, everything we can research in 6 turns doesn't really delay our marble acces.

So, I like the first one, but I would research fishing first. That way we'll be able to start exploring the seas faster (after our settler is built). If we use the small island before our coast, we might find yet another civilization.

The chances are there but taking care of the Marble ASAP for if we dont get it B. does.

Which do you want. A 1:50 chance or a 1:1 chance with the outcome being unknown or added power.

Why are you so keen on the seafaring?

Two of the poll options contain both fishing and sailing.

                seafaring:

                lighthouse, early exploration, early trading

we have a very small land so most of our cities will be seaside AND we know none of the other started at the sea

                  Hello there.
                  Yikes, I've been spotted!

                  hi!

                  seafaring:

                  lighthouse, early exploration, early trading

we have a very small land so most of our cities will be seaside AND we know none of the other started at the sea
Well, there's certainly space for at least a few cities and seeing how we have a very good science output and worker running out of the things to do (and ready to chop some), I'd go for writing first and library as a subsequent build.

                  Voted writing first.

EDIT: on starting game I get it paused and can't unpause.
                  Is that okay?

yes its my habit of saving after hitting end turn. Then its in the "paused" state.
