snoopy: no, there's no non-blurred image. It was a lame try at creating some gradients. I never thought of using it in anything bigger than 15*19 resolution when creating it.
I had created a more detailed version first, but it didn't look good at all when resized. That's why I changed it to this very basic/simple version.
BTW, you're not particularly likely to get yellow either, given Banana ... which color should I use in the sample mod, a blue variant (0x0x128 or something), orange (255x128x0 or something), or something else? Of course, it can be changed (subject to others' choices) at any point pre-start.

I like your SNOOPY POSTER! - While you Wait quote.
But we already voted blue, so blue for now. If we can change later, it matters little, if you need a colour right now.

I think we can go with orange.
What do you think guys?
Now, who volunteers to make the cIV flag meeting requirements snoopy369 posted in the public thread?

Could someone (maybe PJay ) modify the picture so that it is quadratic?
I wanted to do it but realised Im not that skilled.
Probably extend the Planet and the Space to bother sides a little.

Why? In the public forum I see snoopy got it quite good as our flag. What's wrong with the version snoopy resized himself ?
BTW: the in-game flag is not square either, but gfx cards always work with square textures, they are then resized on-the-fly to the necessary resolution (based on zoom level, camera angel, ...). Because the in-game flag has about the same aspect ratio as the icon, a simple resize of the image above would be best. It would look skewed in any gfx program, but would look good in civ4.
Really? I didn't notice he did it already. Will take a look.

Why not use gold instead of orange? What is the comparison between yellow and gold?

Gold is more brownish.
It's practically impossible to distinguish between gold and yellow ingame - they're very close on the spectre.
Besides I just checked fungus pink - it's just step away from pure red - leaves us with orange.
