    Spiney movement:

    1 - 3 ?

That would put him in position to move up onto the forested hill (9) to start the next turn.

Well, this particular turn is pretty set, other than Spiney's movement.

True. I guess I was thinking more in terms of things not in the orders, like the discussion points on pulling Beckham back towards Winestrom, rushing the Skirmisher, diplomacy, etc.

            Ok. My thoughts:

Leave the choke skirms where they are. I think we can fend off a Voxian incursion without them.

I'm anti-rushing the skirm in Winestrom unless we're under imminent threat of attack. If we see Voxian archers approaching our borders, then we rush (if we deem we need the skirm).

Diplo - hmm. As I mentioned in the 3-way negotations thread, I haven't been able to bring myself to read up on the status of the negotiations, so I've nothing useful to say yet. I intend to snap out of it and read that stuff soon, from the beginning.

No need to uncover the areas shown by AC:

Oh, right, um... shall we just pull him back to the southeast then, and poke around banana lands? We got a screenie from them too, though, didn't we?

I think the only thing we haven't been shown is the far north coastline.

Should we go explore that, then? Continue Northeast?

It does leave spiney pretty vulnerable, since there is likely to be more ice/tundra than forest. I've gotten some woodyII's killed that way...

There is a Barbarian Warrior south of EotS and east of the Furs:

Vox's Archers are coming back into sight. Looks to me like they put the Grog killer into The Voice (2.5/3.0, double city defender promotions) and then pulled out a unit?

One of those Archers is only 3 turns from Winestrom - thoughts? I don't think they can see Winestrom undefended (over the hills) right now, but could next turn. Do we proceed moving Cantona to the desert hill, forking him between the Settler/Worker and Winestrom? Now do we want to rush the Skirmisher?

They can see Winestrom this turn.
And her eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming...

Is that a single Voxian archer marching toward winestrom, or two?

We may have to rush the skirm now...

Rush the Skrim now...or we could rush next turn and move Cantona onto the hill. IIRC we can rush and we get the skirm when we hit end turn, right? So we can get Cantona onto the hill and if Vox want to rush blindly for the city they have to move onto flatlands. We could attack with Cantona and kill the archer, and even if we failed we could rush another Skirm in Wineström before they could attack.

I'd say rush next turn if needed and move Cantona back onto the hill asap. If a second archer turns up next turn then we rush next turn. We lose 5% fort bonus but gain +1 food.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

Yeah, actually, that makes sense. Cantona moves back into Winestrom this turn. Next turn, he moves to the hill, and we rush a new skirm in Winestrom.

The following turn, our first axe pops out of EotS, right?
