Becks is going to have to turn around soon in order to garrison wines. We're going to want him on the wines the turn the settler arrives... so, what, ~9 turns?

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

Yeah, I haven't figured it out precisely, but I figured he may as well block that grass forest for a few turns before retreating.

        Which way for Spinebreaker - 3, 8 or 7?

Vox has moved their Archer from the gold hill to the plains forest. I suspect they are baiting us - thoughts?

They hope we will move a Skirm onto the gold hill so they can isolate it and probably kill it; that or they may just want the tile he is on, as the brass land forest lets them grow and get hammers. If we move up the next skirm to support him then they get back a grass forest anyway and a pathway to break out, as Beckham is return to the wines site shortly.

Spinebreaker 3 may be seen as provocative, though it will give us a goo idea of where their capital is. Or maybe Banana just pulled a Voxx and settled at the isthmus to stop people getting through? I doubt that is the reasoning for the ****ty city placement though.

I think Spiney 7 is best, and then maybe 11 or further north if possible via forests and try to circle round later, but I ain't sure if there are any forests to the north of Spiney after those two in the picture.

Yeah, leave the Skirms where they are. They are not going to get reinforced anytime soon... leave 'em fortified on the forests.

Spiney... either 3 or 7, IMO. Either is good.

Well Banana have a lot of land up there.

If in border negotions we offer them the Banana/Ivory site then they'll probably accept that as us being generous . In fact they probably fear that we'll try to punish them for being too greedy and trying to claim all that land for themselves.

We can say something like "There's not enough room for two teams down here, but assuming we can eliminate the competition we'll be willing to draw a border line just below your Ivory/Banana site."
                      Something like that.

                          I think I was wrong...

...just wondering, but how many warriors does Banana have again? IIRC they had atleast three last time I checked, so they should have a warrior in their cap, to dissuade us from rushing them

Damnit, so many parallels to previous demogames...

Was a little tired last night - forgot to mention that there is a Barbarian Warrior south of EotS.

Crap. We may need another skirmisher right away. Damnit. Max hammers, skirm, then back to the settler build, I think.

By the way, regarding Banana... major land-grab, yeah. There may be method to their madness, though. Remember that Aeson is on that team, and he has been around lately. They may be a lot more dangerous than they look. EDIT: silly me, he's a mod. My bad. My brain is fuzzy this morning.
