    Need options for if:
    1) Lion is alive and damaged
    2) Lion is alive and undamaged
    3) Vox Warrior is alive and damaged
    4) Vox Warrior is alive and undamaged
    5) Neither is in sight
    6) Other?

If either unit is 8 of us and damaged, I think we should move 4 for exploration prior to moving 9 for attack.

    Any comments, suggestions?

      1) Lion is alive and damaged - fantastic news. If it's badly damaged, enough that we have overwhelming odds of success, attack. Otherwise continue scouting and ignore lion.

      2) Lion is alive and undamaged. Nearly certain that the Voxian warrior also alive and undamaged, so it depends on the positioning of that unit more than anything. Stay on forest.

      3) Vox Warrior is alive and damaged. If we have high odds of success (~75% or higher?) attack. Otherwise continue scouting, stay on forest.

      4) Vox Warrior is alive and undamaged. Doh. Continue scouting, keep to the forest.

      5) Neither is in sight. Continue scouting, stay on forest.

      Grog - yes, I think 7.
Worker - sure, I think that is in keeping with either of the general plans we're debating.

        to Arrian's notes above.

I think Grog probably needs to go 7 then 1, just to make sure he stays "useful" with regards to choking (basically just tying up their units).

Also, general comments regarding the size of the continent - we might get some insight based upon how long their warrior has been scouting for.

If this voxian warrior is the one that harrased EotS and then withdrew, last seen on turn 32, 2760 BC, then it has been out of sight for 11 turns. It is 8 turns from its last position, so either it has had to stop and heal 3 turns or the Northern edge of the continent is two tiles further North (it has hit the edge and come back).

If this warrior has come directly from The Voice, then it's 11 turns from home -> and to my knowledge, Vox did not have a warrior free at this time to go Scouting (we had los on the Voice the next turn).

Which means that my bet is the Northern edge of the continent is very close, and that we're the only two teams here.

Another possibility is they decided they need every single unit available and recalled the scouting warrior.

Altough I also think it quite likely that the warrior bounced off the top of the landmass.

Agreed, it's quite likely that Spiney is approaching lands end.

              Grog: 2/2, 1/2 Exp. Moved 7
Spinebreaker: 2/2 7/10 Exp (W2). Neither Lion or Vox Unit in sight, so moved 8 first to explore, revealing damaged Vox warrior on grassland....attacked 9 - Vox Warrior 0.6/2.0 - 100% odds - victory! - 2/2 8/10 Exp.
Thug: 2/2, 0/2 Exp. Fort in EotS

              Skirmishers
Zidane: 4/4, 0/2 Exp Moved 3 next to the Voice - has 1 Archer, 1 Warrior inside
              Materazzi: 4/4, 0/2 Exp. Moved 6

Worker: Moved 3-1 onto grass hill

Are we still tracking demographics, or is it too difficult to deduce things at this point?

We have to send a battle log to Vox, right? Is there a particular format to follow?

Good turn. So it looks like they have a total of 2 archers and two warriors, then (I'm assuming the archer that had been shadowing Grog is still outside the Voice).

It has been a long time since wehad a battle log. I think you only have to start unit A attacked unit B with unit B dying. You can do more of course as nothing can be gained from it.

I think we gave 4/4 unit defeats B and promotes or whatever.

Worst rival population is 6000? Is someone slaving out archers by any chance?

2/2 Woodsman 2 Warrior breaks 30/100 hp Voxian Warrior Spine. Have a nice day

IIRC we agreed that sending battle logs would be nice, but no specific rules about them. Vox can see the entire course of the battle through the combat log in-game, so specifics don't really help or hurt [assuming they're honestly given]. Simply the notification that a battle occurred suffices the minimum specifications, anything more is up to you.

I like it. What is the proper communication channel? Email?, PM?, through our designated diplomats?
