Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus
If we are on a small island with no-one else but us two, at least we don't have to worry about what another civ out there might do when they see us and Vox slugging it out.
Like land a horseman right next to an unprotected city?
/me had NOTHING to do with that

Yeah, the bunny brought me back I'm currently in a America, flying back 3 weeks today, without any form of civ to play or read about apart from here. And MZO, but that is just to read the rant threads.
I hope everyone is holding up well. I might be around for a fair bit now that all of my exams are over and I don't have anything to worry about, and I will probably have alot of advice that I am able to give...
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.
Oh and MZ, there is no chance in hell that is going to happen this time. I mean, those 2 Horsemen would capture Monsoon as well as WhirlWind in this game (Jeez, I still remember all that stuff and I didn't even join Apolyton until 8 months after that event...)
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.
Just received this from Vox (Donegeal). Sorry, I made a new thread for it before I saw this one. Guess I'd have to be a bit more active to know such details.
Most Esteemed Stormians:
The time has come for our two people to decide the fate of our civilizations in the universe. Voxian warriors have scouted the Eye of the Storm and the surrounding land. They will soon be in position to cause havok with your populated countryside forcing them to work less desirable land much the same as you have already done to us; and we are now also in position to attack your invading Stormian warriors.
We have no desire to do either of these things.
Time is at a stand still to allow your respected scholars to discuss the possibility of not just a cease-fire, but of a bountiful alliance between our two great nations.
Continuing this war will only harm both our countries for centuries. Stormian warriors and then Skirmishers will invade and lay a prolonged siege on The Voice preventing our people from food, materials and wealth. Our people will holed up inside The Voice and rain fire upon any that attempt to gain entry with great cultural pride. Voxian units will harass Stormian workers and populace. All while the rest of the world will grow rich, powerful and strong. Stormia or Vox, whoever eventually emerges victorious in this prolonged conflict, will be far behind those that chose another path.
Peace and friendship, on the other hand, will make both our civilizations prosper beyond our current perspectives. A Stormian/Voxian alliance would be a power never seen on this planet before. All it requires is trust.
Together, we are exponentially greater than the sum of our parts.
Donegeal, The Voice of Vox.
[Game Mechanics]
We have requested the delay of the game to allow you time to respond to this initial proposal of peace and prosperity. I know that what we have asked is not something that is simple or quick, but we would like a response before we finish playing the turn, as whatever your response is, will have significant impact on what we do. In the turn so far, we have already moved our warrior to the hill 9,9 of Eye of the Storm. We are holding up the decision on attacking Grog based on what you respond.
"Yes! Let's talk." and we will not attack and offer in-game peace.
"Let's talk." and we will not attack and offer in-game cease-fire.
"No." and we may still attack.
No response will be taken as a no and we may yet attack.
We hope that you at least respond to this as no response will take longer.
In both the cases of an in-game offer, we will expect you to hold to your choice and not use it as a means to gain an extra turn of fortifying (While it is not against the rules, I am sure how you can see it would be viewed as disreputable.).
I must think this through a bit more before fixing my opinion, but my first reaction is this: why the offer now, in the middle of their turn, rushed to us on a ultimatum? We need quite a bit more then just a day or so to discuss this. So, for the remainder of this turn, I consider us still at war. If they want to attack it's not the biggest difference whether they kill Grog or not.
I think I'll start some KGB analysis on the urgency...
I just saw your message, and have to run. But even otherwise I fear chatting would not be the best thing to do: you took us by surprise with your last message. We're only starting to get the first responses in, and nothing near a global team opinion has crystalized. In a chat, I would only be able to voice my own personal opinion. And even that one might change over the next few hours.
I think that we will try to get at least some response to you in a reasonable time frame. So please don't think we're ignoring you, or stalling... we simply need the time.
DeepO
I saw your little light bulb on. I am available for the next two hours.
