Well, call me naive, but I still had some hopes of giving him a chance. I didn't know of the cheating, but from what I read of his posts in the strat forum, I've got to agree he has little 'to offer'. That doesn't really disturb me though, people have asked to be lurkers here, and will in themselves also not 'offer' something.

He will drain resources and energy, though, to keep him in check. Add his like of cheating in public games (cheat whatever you want in your own SP game), and I'll go for a hesitant black one as well. Better to have as much noses as possible pointing in the same direction when it comes to refusing people in... even if one vote would have been enough.

So... when are we going to break the news, and how exactly? nye, it's obvious you'll have to do this, and I don't envy your job... that doesn't mean we can't somehow support this.

Let's be very gentle with this. I don't think anyone will think we're elitist by refusing E_N in, and I'd be surprised if he gets into another team. However E_N is exactly the sort of person that is able to make a large ruckus (sp?) out of this.

Is there an English expression like 'carefulness is the mother of the china-closet' like there is in Dutch? It certainly would apply

I'll do it by PM this evening just as I am admitting the others (when I get home from work). I would prefer to keep it private from our end. If he wishes to make other people aware, that is his right, but we should not do anything that could lead to public humiliation.

Yeah, that was one path I was looking to as well. However, it also means we can't really welcome all our new members either, or make our new member list known...

I'm sure this is going to get mentioned in public, whether we are the first to do so or not.

It certainly would make it most controllable, however it also requires you to take all the flak...
