I have thought of another possibility, one that would require my involvement to some extent.

As you all know we are on continents, and as such the contact amongst teams on each continent will occur earlier by a significant timespan than across the continent.

Also, continental politics tend to be the primary game mover until the industrial era, given the difficulty of naval transport before that time period.

Would an acceptable compromise be to open up the fora once every continent has 100% contact amongst the teams on that continent?

No. Option 4 is until all teams have contact with each other, period.

I'm saying that on the various continents, if each continent has contact amongst its individual members, even though no contact between the various continents, that would be sufficient for my suggested condition.

Perhaps some Continent Sub-Fora could be created, when apropriate for each continent ofcorse. Is their then some means that the teams could automaticaly be assigned access by moderators so we can avoid a messy process of re-registering to get access. When full contact is made the continent forums could still serve a usefull purpose for private regional talks.

This also makes me realize we dont have a name for our continent. FOR THE GREATER GLORY OF GONDWONALAND

Hmm, a possibility (well, not sure on the technical end, but a possibility to ask for anyway). Although I would think most of the interest would be in finding out what's going on outside of one's own area?

And clearly GONDOLALAND is much more interesting of a name
