You tried that in game?-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.

Can distinguish COLORS from each other, but not shades of the same color. One who has a surplus of the unorthodox shall attain surpassing victories. - Sun Pin

The bottom one is.
I've learned to deal with my colorblindness, though, so don't worry about me. It's nowhere near as bad in Civ IV as it was in Civ III.

Are there many people who can't distinguish them?-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.

Snoopy, could you try those colours in cIV and present us with a comparative screenie on the blue ones?
Or at least your judgement if they look distinguishable enough.-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.

A majority of the team have indeed voted for black. Unanimous still, actually.
So, for mercs, that is officially black, which should be 0,0,0 in the RBG terms.
Coming from a color blind person, my suggestion to anyone with trouble telling the colors apart:
Simply watch for the icons. I've NEVER had a problem in civ IV distinguishing between civs. One who has a surplus of the unorthodox shall attain surpassing victories. - Sun Pin

Just an experiment, what about 0,144,144 as a teal blue? Teal is supposed to be a bit more green than the examples which have been posted so far. This isn't an official Sarantium position, yet...
ok, that didn't work... guess I'll have to research how to make the image show and not a link, it must be different here than on CFC...
