So, shall the game be quick, normal, or epic mode?
There are good reasons for each ...
Quick: Allows a more 'military' game, also progresses down the tech tree faster and thus allows more of the complexities of the game to happen at a later date.
Normal: The Civ4 experience, for real; no shortcuts or extensions.
Epic: Allows more of our time to be spent in the early ages, which means more interesting horseman/swordsman/maceman/whatnot fighting, which in quick or normal might be lessened.
In a lot of ways, what we're really asking is:
Do we want our major battles to use Tanks, Cavalry, or Horsemen; Infantry, Musketmen, or Archers?
I'll suggest we hold this to a one-vote-per-team, but there's an unofficial nonbinding poll on top ...
