Im being cynical here, but seeing as how we ran 0% research for some time even before, there may be some doubt as to getting GL first. Qin of the chinese-apparantly already got a smattering of wonders-is fin\ind and has a score(tech?) lead. If i was seriously expecting to get GL in SP, i would have wanted literature done by the time the GE finished

Can you turn on the option that displays the number of turns till a build completes and the number of turns till population increases? It would give more info to those of us not playing the save.

What do you base this on?

AC admitted themselves they used chukono. Therefore they either used a GE-which would show up around the time of machinery-or they used the oracle. But ac said they built the oracle.

Read down in that thread and you will find the chinese used their GE for the pyramids, as anyone would do. Further down in that thread they also discuss building the colossus and the great lighthouse.

Its easy to check if this is true by loading old saves before the ac\banana war. If banana had a high score from good wonders and high tech, it would show up.

Well, i went through and calculated the benefits of getting the GL then researching construction[mathematics], or just starting research on it now. Its actually a bit slower to get the GL and then get construction, than it is to just research construction now, in part because the tech costs of literature is more than the benefit of two scientists in the same time it would take to research construction. That is to say, the 6 turns burnt researching GL are more turns than are shaved off by the increased science output. It would also take 118 turns for those two scientists to get as much beakers as the one GE. The kicker for the GL is its massive GP influx, netting us GS's relatively soon.

I am leaning towards getting the GL for the GP points depending on the military situation of next turn or so, though. Its a sweet 16 GPP right off the bat.

Axeman completed in FS and sent to port lima. FS will have another axe in two turns and needs no police. Port lima is building an archer in two(opposed to an axe in 3) the axe near foxtrot stables on the horse moved 1 so as to block the direct path to foxtrot blocked. Spearman could move 8

AB after finishing its library will get a border pop in 13 turns(14 from now). That means the iron will be ours before getting catapults. I would still like getting crossbows+pults and knocking some heads...

An endturn. Its very slightly different(think i moved the fishing boat different is all) from the turn i sent-i just closed the game before i remembered to grab an endsave so replicated everything i did.
