  • Turn 40 - 2440 BC

Fort Sierra settled! Sarantium and Horde scouts forced south of our borders. Barracks started. Axe moved to AB pig tile. 2nd Axe started in AB. Worker moved 3 - 1.

    Scout moved 1 - 1.

Fishing ready in 4 turns. Finances now at -1 per turn with 139 gold reserves.

I believe the axe can stay where it is?

Worker should move 3-1 to the forest where it will road.

The scout... I'm tempted to go 1 and see some of what's inside the Horde borders. But 1-4 to the forest would work well too.

I'm tempted to move the scout 1 as well, though the tile 1 of that looks like a hill too, so our view into Horde territory will be somewhat obscured.

EDIT: Actually, I meant go 3 to the adjacent hill. Got a feeling you meant that too...

          Worker-turns:

I take it we're roading the copper first due to the timing of expansion?

Do we really want a worker out of our borders unprotected? It CAN be done. Everyone likely only has 1 move attackers, post the spear on the forest.

I think the borders will expand just in time. Remember that 2 culture have already accumulated this turn. The worker will then spend 1 more turn moving and 3 turns roading. It's possible the borders will be a turn off, in which case yeah, I guess we road. Regardless, though, as long as the worker roads the forest before moving on, the spear will indeed be able to move to cover in a single turn should something come up.

Yep. That way the spear will be able to move to the copper immediately if the worker needs protection, and there'll be a road from the copper to the city once the mine is actually created and roaded.
