Damn. Spear was supposed to go to the stone.

Next turn, spear 2, settler meet it. *unless there is a unit on the stone.

How many turns to the axe?

Why don't we go 1 with the spear, and have the settler meet him there? That way we're safer.
cause we couldn't have reached that tile from the stone?

No, that works better for the situation at present. It don't matter, we'll have the axe before anyone can reach AB anyway, so nothing lost on the 'mistake' anyway.

Don't fret about it, you're doing fine. I've made my share of mistakes as a turnplayer in demogames. 'Course, if Kloreep wouldn't insist on having 10000 workers in Civ III maybe I wouldn't get pissed at having to go through them all and forget about looking at workforce changes...

The post you edited into oblivion looked something like this:

Oh crap... We needed to clear the FOW. My bad. No more playing the turn when hungover. Sorry

EDIT: I shouldn't be making mistakes like that at critical times such as this. Perhaps I should relinquish turn responsibilities for a while.

We're producing 6 hammers. The axe is 9/35. Worker finishes chop in 2 turns. So we should have the axe in 2 turns.

By "that works better," do you mean move the spear 2 or 1?

Cool. I'll pay more attention next time.

Yes, move 1 onto the forest next turn. Axe in 2 makes removing fog irrevelant as we're safe. (unless someone actually has a chariot out up here already, which is extremely unlikely)

What UnO said, we all make mistakes. As long as yours isn't accidentally retiring our civ...

Still need a decision on the scout. Turn here soon. 7 - 8 onto the jungle/hill?

7-4 for the scout seems better, barring safety issues. That will clear all the northmost inland fog.

Perhaps 7-7 ends in forest. It would leave us one tile west of 7-8.

I'd say either 7-4 or 4-1. I think we should be going for maximum FOW-removal whichever we choose.

                            Report
Sarantium's scout moved along our border, so they did see the settler (and will see where it moved to with the spear)
