  • Turn 1 - 4000 BC

Since our prior discussion pretty much seemed to agree on 2 with the scout being an acceptable move (though opinions diverge after that), I figured I'd do that move now so we have more information to work with while discussing moves in advance of the turnchat.

So, going to move the scout 2 now.

    And here is the result.

Personally, I'm in favor of moving 1, to check out some of the terrain we'd be getting from moving the settler 2.

I'm in #Mercenary on IRC but will be in and out till this evening, plan to boot up and finish playing at 03:00 as planned unless Kloreep feels like finishing before that.

I STILL vote to build right there. That's a great spot. Let's get the culture going, scouts roaming, and get our civilization on the move.

Coastal. Fresh Water. Clams. Pigs. Forests. And a nice variety of terrain for us to build our UberCapital.

UnO and I played the turn and agreed to settle where we are as opposed to 1 or 2; the oasis comes into the radius in a few turns, we keep the pigs, which are worth a lot of food in the long-term, and it remains a harbor site, all in the same position.

                      good job

this looks like a great GP city. If we irrigate some of the Grassland tiles along the river, we could grow our population quickly while maintaining some specialist for early GP points.
