  • of FIGHT, Vassalization, & Last Words

I have been thinking. If we get to a point of 1 or no military units and 1 city, what do we do? There has been talk of our last words and the possibility of becoming a vassal to AC.

I continue to prefer to FIGHT until the last man, but then what? Does Team Banana prefer to stay in the game even in a minor role? If we do, then surrender and vassalization is an option.

I'd like the team's thoughts on this.

If we chose to surrender at some point, I propose the following to be posted in public and sent via the Diplomatic Banana email to AC. Please offer any changes that are proposed.

    Subject: Kompato! Mercy!

    Alpha Centurians,

Team Banana was led down a foolish path by our military leaders. They chose to fight. They squandered our resources and sacrificed our young when it was obvious that the Yang is mightier than the Great Banana, whose name we never really knew.

The defenseless Homoj de la Banano pray for the mercy of Yang. Allow us to keep this last small village. We are without military. We are not a threat to your way. We have much to offer this young world and look forward to learning the ways of the wise Yang. Please show mercy to your fellow Boneco.

We await your reply & terms of surrender.

    montr kompato,
    The Diplomatic Banana
I ask that we talk about this here so that when the time comes, ANYONE can send the agreed on Surrender message. The turn player will probably know best when that time is.

DO NOT get me wrong. I still want to rush the military units and fight to the last man. But, if even a minority want to stay in the game then we should go this route. The culture of the banana is rich and it would be a shame for it to completely disappear.

And then what if they say yes?

Stay as a one city civ?

Official vassalage is not an option in Vanilla Civ.
I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

Agreed. Anything that gives "unnatural" benefit or damage to AC is

an unfair twist of the game.

                Best regards,

the thing that sucks is that this happened just as we were begining to have more players involved.

Does anyone remember the Public Announcement minister from Iraq before it fell? This kinda reminds me of that.

He was a very funny man if I recall.

We could start doing press releases of our great victories.

                            That would be hilarious!

Once we get into the fighting we should do that...........
