    Copper and axes..........

    I would like to float the idea that we make it a priority to get the copper hooked up and get at least one Axeman in each city.

    We are sitting ducks at the moment.................

    Also - and I am just floating the idea - with Alpha Centauri so close - well how do I put this - cities are easier to take than to build at times.......



    Seriously though - if I was on one of the other teams and was looking at the power graph - then I would be painting a huge target on Team Banana........

      I think archery needs to have high priority, too.

        Indeed, our current situation is...somewhat fragile and not extremely
        good.

        Just 4 warriors to protect us. Just 3 workers to improve things.

        So, let us do what is possible: workers just connected Spitville with

        3rd city; Bananapolis is connected by river. When copper is mined

        and roaded, all can build axes; 2 workers devoted to it.

        Our close neighborous seem very friendly. We need time.

        And more things. But we are not very behind in the score,so others

        are also somewhat delayed.

        So, first priority IMHO is to connect copper and to build some defense.

          Defense either via copper & axes, or archery is needed. Which ever can be done first should be pursued.

          I have a major problem with identifying AC as a possible target for us to grow via conquest. AC has been very friendly throughout this game. They are our first contact and friends in this game. We need to grow this relationship not kill it.

          What do we have to offer our friends at AC to keep them friendly?

            Sorry!

            I meant it to illustrate two things.

            Firstly what our opponents may/will eventually be thinking

            Secondly to illustrate that conquest does need to be thought about.

            However having said that - from reading the threads - it does seem that AC have not lent themselves to having aggression thrown their way.

              Axes are more versatile than archers, IMO, - if we must choose between the two. At least one archer and one axe in each city would be preferable - with two archers and at least one axe would be preferable.

                No target; we not looking for war.

                Just some defense. Axes, surely.

                This 4th city (let's see where it can go to) and perhaps one more.

                And more workers. And go on.

                    No need to apologize to me. And I agree with your later comments in that these things do need to be discussed.

                    I was just saying that if you were looking to target AC, then my vote would be a strong no - at this point in time.

                    AC is strong and it would be better to have them as a friend than a foe at this point and really for the foreseeable future.

                    Where is GS in relation to us? I see them as a greater threat to our way of life in the future.

                    On another tract we consider discussing some sort of continental alliance. We know that there must be other nations across the sea. The Great Banana must have put them far from us because they are bad. We have tried to come up with a trade alliance and that failed but maybe we could find away for GS and Vox to live in peace and the 4 of us (AC, GS, Vox & Banana) to agree to stop any colonization of this great continent.

                    Is this something we want to tackle?

                      Interesting idea...................

                      Would be cool if we could pull it off.

                      However Storm and Vox do not seem to be on the best of terms, and the last thing we would need is for the alliance to fall apart on the brink of bringing the Great Banana to the "other" continent.........

                      But I do think it is an idea worth persuing.........

                        great to see debates going on...

                        Defense is a must-copper helpful (but urgent ?)

                        Lets Vox & GS weaken each other..and we can pick whats left over- just need to be able to back it up


                        Lets not forget the neutral zone between us and AC
                        We need to concentrate on them, seeing they have managed to reply more often then the other two

                              what nuetral zone?

                              Do we have an agreement on that?

                              If so we should find it and remind them or ask if it still stands.
