In response to the "what's our strategy" and my suggestion, I think that we need to have a general thread in which we discuss diplomacy in a little more abstact form than in the actual diplo thread.
So, this thread should be maintained with dicussion on the three proposed questions.
Needless to say some of this is stating the obvious but, sometimes you have to state the obvious in order to generate discussion around it.

Barbarian Diplomacy
What is the best possible outcome?
We wont run into anymore of them.
What is the worst possible outcome?
A multi-frontal attack of 5 or more Barbaric terrorists.
Realistically, what is likely to happen?
Unless we build a mobile military unit, we will continue to struggle to defend our assets against them.
What is the best possible outcome?

AC Diplomacy
What is the best possible outcome?
Based off our current discussions, we are currently on the path for the best possible outcome for us clearly being a continuation in the current direction. This continuation would include an open and reliable ally in AC and a coordinated science strategy that we easily agree on.
What is the worst possible outcome?
While we have little reason to suspect it, we should prepare for there to be liars in our midsts, and if this is the case, we should start the discussion of- What if AC declared war on us right now? From a military standpoint and an economic stand point we should begin discussing this question somewhat seriously.
Realistically, what is likely to happen?
I may be optimistic, and feel free to say so, but I think that we will have a good tech deal with AC. I think that there will need to be a chat session of some sort to iron out the priorities of each nation and how to make the tech agreement as fair as possible both in terms of workload and in terms of religion and military fairness. Realistically, this discussion could also bring bumps in our releationship, this process will define our relationship with them.
