I think participation will pick up once there is more imparitive decisions. But as long as we continue to have beer night every day, I will continue to hang out.

Well. I can't play Civ4 and I don't want to buy the game. So, I won't be a turn player.

I would like to see a more lively game. The code of silence, i fear, has killed the sense of community. I understand why snoopy called for it but it has taken a lot of the fun out of the game. Maybe things will pick up once most teams have met.

Is the question about contacts between the teams must, or not,

follow the general game rules like: alphabet needed to trade techs?

Teams can't talk until they have actually met eachother in game, I don't think you're supposed to tell other civs about who you have met either.
