They saw our 2-unit stack last turn. There is no other possibility for this stack but to move on the ivory. If they had any possibility to put attack units in a position where they could immediately re-capture the ivory, they will have done so.
The only other possibility is if
=> they only had 4 elies 2 turns ago
=> then used all of them to attack one of our stacks
=> and didn't get the opportunity for any reinforcements
Ofcourse they try to hide these attack units from us, but it doesn't actually make any difference this turn. We behaved in the normal way, it's just the "surprise" next turn will be less if we lost our units.
