Even if we had spearmen, we'd have two of them at max at the expense of one of our mace we have now and they would be in the 2nd stack anyway.

Nanjing -> Singapore
Xian -> Tiananmen = Gate of Heavenly Peace
I don't see the problem with Shanghai, as that means At Sea, which is where the city is located. Might perhaps be more fitting for an island city, but I doubt we're gonna build one of those anytime soon? Besides, there's still Taipei and Hainan for island city names.

Forgot to rename the cities - will do that next turn.Attached Files-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.

Well since I wasn't (and I guess noone was) completely sure should we keep them together or advance in two stacks I took heed of what happened last turn and moved them together.
We are now advancing towards GS city with 2 stacks - 1 8 unit stack consisting of 3 maces, 4 chucks and an explorer and another consisting on a mace and chuck.
I also promoted units in the first stack so we don't lose unpromoted ones.
Someone suggested we'd be better off with FS chucks so I made one of them Drill II (3 FSs).
Let's see what happens next.-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.

I'll look at the endturn to see if there's anything we can already decide for next turn (ie: city production/worker allocation/...). We'll probably need all the time again to discuss about the GS-war.
Also we could do some diplomacy now...no sig

Tassagrad completed knight
Xian completed longbow
Dongjing completed barracks, now on Jewish missionary (1 turn) to go to Hunoi
36 hammers in Mhasa went to a knight, 2 turns till it will be ready
Xin Guangzhou is 12/120 in producing a forge, we will be able to whip the remaining hammers with 2 pop, due to +100% for forge (industrious) and +25% for buildings (religion)
Barb units :- Archer near the new xian (please rename this city next turn ). It's east-east of our fogbusting chuck. Let's see where it moves. We might need a guard in Dong Jing (although it should start co-operating generating attack units after the missionary)
- Swordsman next to our attack-road to GS. A maceman on its way to attack GS could kill it if it decides to step on our road. That sword might also be a fool and attack the maceman currently on the road south of it.
Our galley which dropped the units next to the ivory can now:- Sail back to our core
- Explore some islands
- Travel around GS-land to see if they built any new sea-based cities
I would sail back to our core
There's still one unpromoted mace in that first stack (2 promotions left), who could really use a promotion as he's not full-health (7.0/8). We should remember this for next turn.
We should have circumnavigation bonus, as we have a visible tile in each column, but we don't have it yet. Either the algorithm got changed in one of the patches, my memory is failing or we will get it next turn...no sig

Agreed that galley should sail back to core.
I think the circumnav is actually more complicated, but either way our caravels are ~5 turns away from completely circumnavigating the other continent which should definitely give us the bonus.-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.
