  • Turn 100! (375 BC)

    Yay, we've passed 100 turns!

    In the news:
    - Sara built Mahabodhi, as expected
    - Banana now has 7 chars and 2 axes one of which has 'cover' promotion
    - our GNP jumps to 32, someone is nearing us in Mfg. goods and we're nearing 1st place in Crop yield.

Now chatting about military movements in our Skype room.

    A quick turn this time

    - Msaha is now yangish
    - Work boat moved south along the coast
    - all three chuks unto jungle hill, just near Splitsville. It must be unnerving for Bananas
    - chuk jeger and chuck rock moved south
    - 5 turns until Bananas dead, if nothing unexpected happens
    - Banana workers spotted east of horses
-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.

Currency - 3 turns from now
City on rice site - 5 turns from now
Bananas dead - 5 turns from now
GP - 7 turns from now
Library - 11 turns from now
CoL - 11 turns from now

        Pretty eventful turns await us.

With such a massive chariot stack we really should expedite a spear man, primarily as backup in case they try a run around behind our army.

Whats the math looking like on the assault, Its going to take at least 2 turns of solid attacks to break through and that means they have a turn of counter attacks or even attempts to hit us suicidally with chariots before we have fully massed for the assault. Are we keeping our stack together? Last I had heard their were plans to split it up but I would advise against it. We will likely need one unit with Medic promotion to give us some healing between the two assault turns.

Catapults would be useful. Banana city has +40% defense. I guess some units will die when attacking, more than one. There is 7 chariots + 2 axe, we would need like 10 units to succeed in one turn assault.

One or even two spearman units, I agree.

            Other things:
            - will they try build one more settler?
            - what with those 3 workers to NE, are they preparing something? new city location?
            - is there a need to cut them from horses? they build chariots apparently as the best unit they can now - no axe - no coper. would they have other unit option when we cut horses? maybe it is worth sacrificing a unit? we might have smth cheap around, like a worior for such stuff, optionally a spearman would make a good stand against chariots in the open, maybe taking 1 chariot before dying

And one more thing, I have to admit, Bananas seem to make a good stand. They may survive for many more turns.

              Chariots don't benefit from defense boni. I don't think they're a problem.

                GS has:
                Construction
                Monarchy
                we have:
                Monotheism
                Literature
                Sailing
                Metal Casting

They may have cats against Vox already or soon, and as you noticed Impaler, they prepare assault. We could trade for construction, though GS may not want to give it away.

you mean they do not get +40% from the city? then only 2 axe are difficult.

East from nanapols there is cow and iron. if they sneak a city there, the fight would be prolonged. With 3 workers nanas can build mine and pasture quite fast geting axes against us again.

Are we keeping our stack together?
Yup, it's on the jungled hill just near Splitsville. They have like 15% chance to win that stack if they sacrifice all their units.

                      - what with those 3 workers to NE, are they preparing something? new city location?
They just chopped in that new chariot.

No real need. Let them waste hammers on chariots.
I don't think we should be very scared about them attacking (even suicidally) and winning us.
Meanwhile we can decimate their force by attacking with part of our force and leaving other part fortified to withstand any counterattacks there might be.

And one more thing, I have to admit, Bananas seem to make a good stand. They may survive for many more turns.
                      We shall crush them!

you mean they do not get +40% from the city? then only 2 axe are difficult.
                      Yup.

They have wasted quite a lot of resources on chariots already. I doubt they managed a settler too.
