It might be faster to build the fishing boat in Beiging and sail it around the west coast to the new city, it could also check out the small island off our western coast along the way to see if it connects to anything else.Companions the creator seeks, not corpses, not herds and believers. i believe its a good idea to put all the shields that city will make (not much) in infrastructure. everything else can be made by cities with more production

I want to get that Marble in the network soon, Marble combined with our Industrious trait will just tear through wonders like Great Library, National and Heroic Epic and now that we are about to trade Priesthood from Bananas we should consider the Oracle (if we miss Pyramid for any reason we should pop the Oracle and take Machinery as the tech, more culture for us, less tech for our opponents). With marble access we will be looking at a +175% bonus to construction so we effectively need only 55 hammers raw to produce the wonder, thats a double whip instant build!
Once team (Sarantium?) has already completed Stone henge so its unlikely they would also soon be doing Oracle and the other teams like Mercs don't seem like the type. GS is tied up in a war effort and dose not have Priesthood yet (they will probably trade for it), Bananas are of course incompetent and also lack marble access.
Building the Oracle and taking Machinery as the tech would decisivly drive us ahead in tech and power, allowing us to accelerate our war plans against nanas and allow us to start breathing down GS neck before they finish off Vox. I think we should make this a near term goal and build our next city on the marble hill to access it ASAP. Lets look at the total time necessary to do this, build settler, found city, Quarry the marble and rush Oracle, I think we would be looking at 10-12 turns which is still a great time frame for grabbing Oracle, and if we miss it for any reason we just detour to GreatLibrary.Companions the creator seeks, not corpses, not herds and believers. An interesting proposal by Impaler.
You really think the next city should hook up marble?
Im more in favour of commerce city now and then a hookup city might be in place, because we need to get our GNP in line with GS's to keep our tech competitive.
I think with increased production (as per being the best at mfg goods + forges) we should be able to keep on the top of researchers.
We should probably do another settler right after Colossus + Pyramids are done.
Popping Oracle doesn't need marble though (the GE hammers are independent from modifiers), so if we miss Pyramids, we should pop Oracle, yes.-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.

Foreign Intelligence :
Banana : +13 due to techs traded (iron working)
AC : +13 due to techs traded (fishing, meditation)
Sarantium : +22 due to wonder (stonehenge)
GS : +6 due to population growth (second city from 2 to 3)
GS : +7 due to tech discovered (masonry)
Should we send a message to the bananas about not forgetting to send us priesthood this turn? Or, do we wait and see what they do by themselves ?no sig

What do we give them for Priesthood then?-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.

Wasn't it rather IW for Fishing + Meditation and Writing for Sailing and Priesthood?
In that case we can't really ask them for PH as we're giving nothing in return.
Also we should ask their current research - they seem to be going off-road taking whatever they want without any planning, in which case we can threaten the cancellation of TTT with them because it was originally thought to coordinate tech efforts not just trade around whatever one has without regard of other's efforts.
As you can see, if GS' northern city has only one border expansion, our scout is locked down south.
Probably ask GS how many turns until expansion for that city (if it has any culture at all).
Sorry, I edited this post by accident instead of quoting it. Luckily I could restore it by some back-button-magic.

once the continent is explored, we just kill of the scout. i don't see the problem
in the TTT stands
3. trades arranged are kept even if a tech to be traded for is acquired by other means
on this line, they should still give PH to us, no matter if they can give sailing or not, or we can give writing or not ...
we could call it compensation for not keeping the propossals, and eventually exclude them out of tech deals from now on if they don't do it.
they may be incompetent, but i'm sure they realise that GS + AC cooperated teching will be their death

Iron Working: 286
Total: 286
Fishing: 57
Meditation: 114
Priesthood: 85
Total: 256
As for their current research, I think there was no clear communication on their team. Fed seemed honestly surprised to hear the tech trade proposal. Which tech would you advise them to research ?

Maybe we should ask if they're interested in researching Sailing again, if not, maybe Monarchy/CoL seems appealing to them.-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.

Can we know by the score who built Stonehenge?
