report :
scout: moved SW onto hill; can see horses, vox warrior and coastline.
warrior: fortified in Tassagrad, no upgrade chosen yet; spotted GS warrior on the Marble.
Being: continues library; now at 20/120 future players, remember to switch to Collossus for 1 turn when it's at 25/120. Has grown to size 5, which caused one angry citizen.
Tassagrad: built 36/120 of the forge in 1 turn (due to our bonus + big overflow from the axeman). Will finish in 5 turns.
Shangai: finished obelisk => 10 turns to border expansion. Worker still 3 turns to go on pasture. What do we build here now? (I think binTravkin made a proposal for several turns in advance for this city). Will grow to size 2 in 6 turns according to game, but this estimate will go down 1 turn after pasture is finished.
Foreign Intelligence
I thought Vox' score would have increased due to cultural expansion 20 turns ago, but instead it's the Merc's score that did... Aparently something was wrong with my assumptions 20 turns ago... I thought Vox or Banana had their 4the expansion (due to them founding a religion), but on double checking that's way too fast. Instead, Mercs' second city got an expansion due to the +2 culture from a creative leader. This was a small error in the intelligence, and does not influence the other assumptions.[/i]
That small correction aside, these are the things that might have happened this turn:
Mercs: land ownership : 37 -> 48 tiles (+21 points)
Banana: 1 tech discovered : 10 techs (+7 points)
AC: population growth: 5+2+1 pop and land ownership : 13->22 tiles (+23 points)
Sarantium: population growth : 5+2 pop (+6 points)
Gathering Storm: tech discovered: 9 techs (+6 points)
Endturn attached, save will be passed-onAttached Filesno sig

Banana needed 5 turns to research their last tech, knowing fishing is only 57 beakers, they either have a VERY slow tech speed or they researched something else. Both options are bad for our trade treaty.
Looking at their GNP graph, I fear they really get only 11~12 research / turn. (We have 30 / turn currently, that's 3 times faster!)no sig

I think a forge or Granary in Shanghi, population will he hampered for a time due to food constraints. Ultimatly the city should function much like Tassagrad as a Unit factory.
If we chop the forest SE of the workers current location and farm then combined with the pasture their would be 8 food in the city enough to support 2 non food collecting workers. One would be devoted to the Iron mine, with a Forge the other could be an Enginer, as most of the team is leaning towards Pyrimids and representation that would net 3 research though the GPP will probably be a write off as our capitol raises the threshold too fast. We would be looking at around 12 production a turn at maturity.
If we get the forge first we can use two pop on the Pasture and Mine and their will be a narrow food surplus of 1 as we build the forge, chopping the forest after the mine comes online should get the forge done quite fast. Then we follow up with the Granary or if were looking at a starting war earlier a Barracks, from that point on its all Chuk's and Swordsman, when the population maxes out we put in the Engineer or try to develop more food sorces.
When Tassagrad finishes the Forge put one turn in another Axman, when it hits 3 pop work the Silk and start a worker.Companions the creator seeks, not corpses, not herds and believers. Fellow creators, the creator seeks - those who write new values on new tablets. Companions the creator seeks, and fellow harvesters; for everything about him is ripe for the harvest. - Thus spoke Zarathustra, Fredrick Nietzsche

During slavery, granary is a powerful production boost. maybe granary and then forge would be better? granary might be whipped, then it would recover faster for whipping forge. can we check it in spreadsheet, the same way as Beijing?

No whipping is possible in those cities, the food surplus is too little and production income is bigger than the relative whipping income, evenmoreso with forge.-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.

It wont give us 8 turns longer defeicit running at 100%, but quite a longer time deficit running at 90%.
The current -3 deficit at 100% science will grow to -5 or -6 while researching Machinery.-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.
