I don't think we should make decisions based on what Vox says they're gonna do. For two reasons:

1) Possible misinformation
2) I don't think Vox knows what Vox is going to do.

More 2 than 1, really.

Given that, if the archer is still in place, I favor promotion.

I think an informal vote is appropriate. At this point we have 1 vote woodsman, 1 vote combat 1.

Hopefully it won't still be tied when I play the turn. If it is, I'll make the call, which will likely be woody1.

In the main forum turn thread, 'nana says they will play around 11pm PST, which is 2am for me. I won't be able to play that until after work tomorrow (7-8pm EST).

HAHAH even Vox's units don't have any will to fight. Vox's gods are totally apathetic.

Vox really have been really unlucky this game. IF they had a lucky combat result they could've got an instant Medic (if they were smart enough to promote that way) and that could cause some minor annoyance later on for us.

Promotion if needed = Woody. There's plenty of forests to post him into.

I vote for Woody - same reason as everybody else, ie it's most use in the choke right now (by 10%) and we don't really expect Grog to end up surviving much longer than that, do we?

But I'm ok if ends up Combat 1. I do think it's a good idea to promote sooner rather than later though.

Also, if it comes in work hours, I can play the turn. But no internet at home, so there could be a 12 hour delay if it comes at the wrong time of day (I'm in Sydney, Australia).

If there is another one unit or more adjent to Grog, promote him. Woody I prefered, but wouldnt mind if the team decided on Combat I either.

I vote Woody1. If a Vox archer attacks later, gets lucky and wins against Grog, that archer gains a good promotion which is bad for us. Woody1 decreases the odds of Vox winning a battle.

Why would we promote Grog to combat1? Because it offers better promotions long term (e.g. medic). However, when we take Vox down we will certainly be able to promote a victorious unit to medic then.

If there is an enemy unit next to Grog, I see no reason not to promote him immediately.
