Need a name for the new guy - I think someone may have offered one in a previous turn - I'll check later.

Do we want to scout west with this guy, or swap him with Beckham and move Beckham back to the choke?

I think Cantona was mentioned a as suitable name.

I figure we send this guy to relieve Beckham and Becks can go back to choke. Once new guy is within a turn or two of Winestrom, we can move Becks out. Hrm... now I feel kinda silly for insisting we withdraw Beckham.

Sorry 'bout that. It was likely caution overkill.

Not at all. We could have had a surprise barb or the Vox warrior complicate things and been very glad to have Beckham handy.

I wonder if it's worth playing mind games with Vox by switching Beckham's and the new guy's names when they switch, so that a new unit appears to be coming to choke - not one they've already seen.

I dunno, which is odder? A new skirm showing up or Beckham coming back?

The more seemingly random things we do, the better. It will keep them guessing. Guessing will lead to hesitation. Hesitation by Vox will be good as they will be less able to interfere with our plans.

Wasn't it agreed that we shouldn't do things like that in this demo game?

Reminds me a little like last time when we renamed settlers to workers (hmm, did we even do that in the end, or just talk about it? Can't remember anymore).

We did rename at least one settler "worker." It didn't work, though.

As Arrian said, we did rename a settler to worker. It had little chance of success with the breakdown of units at the bottom of the list, and in fact it did not work. It did lead to some hard feelings though.

In a subsequent game there was a rule agreed upon not to rename units (or anything else) with the intent to deceive. It is not a rule in this game, but we should pay some heed to the probable feelings of our opponents, and those whom may be inclined to agree with them about our actions if we do not keep to a high road.

That demographic screen is much less worrisome with winestrom built.
