I'd like to request that we take the max time for this turn.

We are conducting diplomacy with AC that has a time-critical factor (their discovery of Vox) and I'd like to wrap up some concrete agreements re tech trade before any spanners can be thrown in the works.

      - SB can see a Banana warrior at the start of the turn.
      - No changes with Vox.
      - Copper is connected - we can build Axemen.

Turn was received at 05:48 today.

Hmmm - EotS has a queue? I don't recall doing that. It went right into a Skirmisher build (6 hammers). Shall we complete it in 2 turns, or switch to a worker? I'm going to remove the other queue items (Settler, another Skirmisher).

I'll defer to Blake on that. I'd go skirm-settler. But apparently we need another worker. He's thought it through more than I have.

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

We COULD make use a 3rd worker but it's kind of a 50/50 thing, I think that skirm/settler is the better option here.

The other worker should be pre-farming the floodplain for Wines.

We WERE going to chop with the copper worker, but I think I'd rather have him build 2 cottages so we can start competing in research asap. Leave the forests for after Maths I say - it wont take at all long with the extra commerce we'll be having rolling in soon.

We really need to look at founding a city here:

The code-name can be "NE" for "No Entry" or "North East".

The goal obviously is to dissuade our northern neighbors from trying anything foolish, since that mountain range blocks passage south, a city at that location is a serious obstacle. Any units on the flats would be extremely vulnerable to counter-attack.

Built on the hill it will be an indestructible fortress, on the flats it would give us access to Elephants much earlier and also create a LOVELY kill zone. Elephants are good enough that we'd probably want to found it on the flats and immediately clear the two forests to get an obelisk. Since we lack horses we need the Elephants.

I believe that having such a barrier protecting our core and indirecting anything heading south will encourage the northern teams to, choose wisely. They will know that we will not fall easily (especially to a "surprise" attack) and may even suspect that any attempt to break the storm would be a futile effort.

I would go for founding the city right after wines, have the workers build the road out there and possibly pre-chop the forests. Get an obelisk in asap to build up culture. We'll need AH of course. The ivory will negate the need for Furs.

Just to keep track: We're past the 24 hours and 3 hours into the automatic 24 hour extension. I posted a notice to the other teams in the general forum that we would be tardy this turn.

I see no need to hold the turn longer. The feline has staged a breakout from the enclosure, as it were.
